You like that view, rightly bloody so! and the B&W on the cover is awesome. Looks like a good morning, I think I'd spend all day with the long lens getting minimal, close up water trails. Good vlog and fingers crossed you get some decent weather.

Hi Stuart. To my shame I wasn't aware of your work until your appearance on the pubcast. I like your "under promise and over deliver" approach and boy do you over deliver. Fantastic images. I am enjoying your back catalogue of vlogs very much. Kind regards - Robin

Hi Stuart: Another wonderful video. I really liked the way that you brought us through your thought process on the composition of these images. Personally, I could shoot waterfalls all day. I never get tried of them. We live close to Niagara Falls and my favourite time to shoot them is the dead of winter particularly if it is frozen over. Cheers, Keith (Canada)
@StuartMcGlennon3 жыл бұрын
The waterfalls over here aren’t quite as grand 😂 though some of them have some appeal, this one is certainly one of the better ones for sure

Great video Stuart, you make this craft look so easy. I plan to work my way through all your videos & gain more knowledge as a I go. I will then try to put this into practice. I really would like to learn more about landscape photography & in the months ahead will keep up practicing whilst also learning from others like yourself

It’s a nice first shot and can definitely see it’s appeal but for me the 2nd shot is winner. Lovely sense of scale and simplicity. I see you’re adding a bit more b roll.👍😬. Get up them fells Stu, no excuses. Nice work 👍👍
@StuartMcGlennon4 жыл бұрын
Cheers James that second shot I was kicking my heels a bit as it would have been improved with the mist that was there at first light, though by the time I’d finished the first shot it had gone which was a shame. Aye the fells are calling though I’m not going to photograph grey misery lol

Great work again pal, I was only there a couple weeks earlier during the heavy rain hoping for a break in the cloud at sunset which was forecast.. this being Cumbria, the opposite happened visibility dropped, rain persisted and darkness fell so I came home wet with a rather light memory card! I enjoyed the drive though! 🤣
@StuartMcGlennon4 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate - you should have stuck it out that’s how I got the OP magazine cover shot of this place, was absolutely p*****g down when I shot that! All seriousness though it’s a tough spot to shoot if it’s grim weather
@damianharrison98074 жыл бұрын
Stuart McGlennon sure is pal, I’d normally wait but it was 21:00hrs and deteriorating so I gave up! Managed to bag one fell top cloud shot at Crummock on the way home and that was it. Still a nice peaceful evening though. 👍🏻

Cheers yeah it’s something we all experience - it’s worst when folk on here are shooting in absolute bobbins conditions and telling you it’s fantastic. Bizarre

You would not believe how envious I am of you, to have all these wonderful locations to not only shoot, but walk through and generally admire. Another great vlog and another location in the Lakes I've not visited. You really have no shortage of places to go. I guess that must mean, that I need to get off my arse and go discover what there is around me. If only I could find the motivation.

Thanks Ian, only way out of a rut is to force yourself out of it and get the camera out though I know that isn’t always easy

Cheers pal, yeah i kinda wish I could have got that long lens shot first thing when there was more mist, the videoing does become a faff for those moments anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves, definitely a missed opportunity though the one i got wasn't too bad

Really enjoyed this Stuart and nice to see how you deal with shooting into the sun, you never really know how this kind of stuff is going to pan out until you get back like you say! 👍 👍 👍

Great location, lush tones too! I’ll be up to your gallery in early August, been wanting to visit for a long time so looking forward to seeing all the great work in there! Which tripod/head combo is that? I’m after a carbon fibre set up but can’t decide which 3 legged thing version to go for!?
@StuartMcGlennon4 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate it’s the Winston with the airheadz ball head, I’ve had it about 3 years and it’s done the job though to be honest if I was buying now for the same price at £400 I’d have got a benro
@boblogan25114 жыл бұрын
Is that tripod a 3 legged thing? Been lookin at some of them around £100-200 as an upgrade from my heavy tripod. Would you recommend?
@StuartMcGlennon4 жыл бұрын
Yeah this one isn’t too bad, it’s the winston think it’s about £400, though I’d probably recommend benro in terms of quality/value for money
