Hi Karl, came across your channel and subscribed. Wonderful video. I have a progressive disease and mobility is not great, so always on the lookout for perfect roadside locations. I absolutely love your images and thank you for sharing. I was born in the lake district but ended up in Cornwall. Looking forward to us bringing our 34 yr old motorhome up to the lakes in April. Will now binge watch your channel. THANK YOU

Thank you Jo..much appreciated. I hope my video will inspire some incredible images in April. I will be doing a Peak District version soon and I already have a Snowdonia one in my past vids. Take care for now and thanks again for subscribing

Good to see you back in the Lakes. Some good locations, although I tend to shoot Honister Pass further down towards Brothers Water. Re being busy I have just returned home (Ambleside) today after spending the last month away. I love living in the Lakes but August especially the last couple of years is just to manic. Hope you are feeling better.

Thank you 😊 I'll give brothers water a look next week sometime. August I've heard is a nightmare for locals. .glad you got some respite.

@@karlphoto365 When you drive down Honister there is a car park,free on the left. Cross over the road through a gate and you view is above the stream looking down the pass to Brothers Water. Still trying to get the perfect shot with water and light.

Great video Karl, perfect for me as I have mobility issues which sometimes limit me to very little walking, though steep climbs and very long walks/hikes are a no no at anytime these days. Thanks for this as I haven’t really seen any on the Lakes, mainly North Wales. There are a couple I know of already but I’ve actually never been to Ullswater and I absolutely loved those shots, definitely on my list.

Thanks Brian..I actually did this with you in mind mate. I know you liked the Snowdonia one so thought I'd do a little series. I'm planning a Peak District one so keep your eyes peeled haha. Thanks for always watching...much appreciated 🙏

@@karlphoto365 Appreciate it Karl, spent many a weekend around Hope Valley from being around 8 years old, walked most if not all those hills and got to see Kinder Downfall do it’s trick once. Long time ago now and long before I took up photography proper. Another good thing with the Peak District is it’s easy to get to, I bet it’s not much more than an hour away from anywhere in the North West.

Add Rydal grot to the list, as someone with blocked arteries, I cannot walk more than 50 yards without pain, and the walk to the Grot is not very far. I was lucky and got there before the crowds. it was so serene and peaceful in the grot. Blea tarn is also an easy walk, but if you are a little on the infirm side, the ground can get quite boggy, between the path and the tarn, but it is only 25 or so yards

Thanks for your video, interested in the Honister pass location, you say it is not far from car, which seems to be parked on narrow road? Is that safe?
@rayandrews24622 жыл бұрын
Sorry just watched further in and you say it's a passing place, not for me I'm afraid

Hi Ray...if you visit at sunrise in winter around 8am there is very little to no traffic. It is much larger when in person. Good luck if you go and thank you for watching
