This week I completed the first week of GMB Fitness Elements Program. Elements is the foundation for the programs offered by GMB Fitness. In addition to providing a solid foundation, Elements teaches 3 locomotion patterns (Bear, Monkey, and Frogger) to improve mobility and motor control, improve flexibility, and to improve strength.
In the past, I have attempted to start Elements, but I was not good at following directions, or keeping consistent with my workout sessions. I decided to document my workouts to track my progress and point out areas of needed improvement. It also makes me be more mindful of the movements, stretches, etc.
What I have learned this week is that my flexibility needs a lot of improvement. Although I am able to hit a rock bottom squat from years of training with kettlebells, I am not at all comfortable maintaining that position for extended periods of time.
My goal, for this program, is to build a solid foundation before I move on to other programs offered by GMB, like Integral Strength, Vitamin, Focused Flexibility, and Floor 1&2. I fully expect the benefits to carry over to my martial arts training as I hope to teach myself martial arts tricking starting next spring/summer.

It's good to hear your honest approach to GMB Elements. I am halfway through the program and have found that It teaches me to be honest with myself when I am doing the movements. Am I rushing through the program, trying to muscle through? Am I being mindful as I try to control the movements? It can be a deep learning experience if you want it to be.

Thanks - I don't remember what I said in this old video, but I became a GMB Trainer last year. Yes, be mindful of what you're doing, but most of all have fun. I do my GMB sessions much different now than I did them back then!

I’m #99 on the like, keeping it 100. Great workout routines. I was debating about weather to get back to GST or with GMB. There are similarities and sticking to the former. Awesome to see your gains in the future. This is kingzLoFitness.

Prince I am trying to start working with Kettle Bells, but a good start weight varies depending on what you read, what would you suggest.
