Brindles are rare! It’s passed down from the Poodle side and they have a be a carrier for that gene. I would brindles, phantom, and tuxedos are the most rare! 😄

I seen a light brown and white golden doodle I think the Parti goldenDoodle at the pet store literally 40 minutes ago. Took him out to play and I was impressed. I work 10 hours at Amazon and not sure if that’s good for a dog to be alone. I didn’t get him. He was 3700 and I would’ve bought him but my 10 hours only scare me he would be alone 6am till 6pm. Long day. I have a cat he loves being alone but idk a dog is different.

We bred our cream goldendoodle with an our black and white Parti Poodle. Mom had 3 tan, 2 solid black and one Phantom, and 3 cream pups. I had no idea what a phantom doodle was until then. We kept him and he has the most beautiful coloring🥰

Its mind blowing how people breed dogs back to back because of popularity the females are being bred over and over it’s hard on their bodies , but owners don’t care they only see dollar signs not the female dogs health - people paying thousands bucks basically for mutts I’m waiting for the day the doodle crave fizzles out and the shelters are over run . People don’t read up on dog breeds they are high active dogs one should get a dog for their lifestyle not because of it’s popularity,and why pay money for greedy breeders when there are so many rescues and dogs in animal shelters needing homes ,after all the - golden doodle -Labradoodle - -Aussie doodle - Wolfadoodle are basically mutts created by a craze that people have bred for greed . All my pets I’ve had have been rescued my two poodles and my 2 cats wich I’ve had all of them for over 17 yrs till there last day on earth not till I bore of them or decide they don’t match my lifestyle as so many people unfortunately do .Adopt don’t shop is my philosophy .

This was informative! I'll pass this along. I have a tuxedo mini-goldendoodle and people ask what he is all the time because they thought Goldendoodles come in tan or apricot. I've been telling people he's a black Goldendoodle who looks like he's wearing a tuxedo, but good to know tuxedo Goldendoodle is actually the name 😂. He's black with a white chest and white nose, a white stripe on the head. He's fixed but a lot of people say I should have bred him because his size and his tuxedo look is so stinken cute!!

Phantom doodles have very distinct characteristics. It’s a pretty rare color in Goldendoodles! I see it a lot in Bernedoodles but not so much Goldendoodles.

My Golden doodle is black until I clip hst for summer then shes silver. Her mom is 50/50 black poodle and golden retriever. Dad an english cream retriever. I hope to bread her this summer with a handsome standard white poodle. Wondering what color they will make. She is the best dog.!

Doodles tend to lighten as they age! Silver is actually a pretty unique color. Black is a recessive genetic trait so it’s not that common.

I've got a rescue pooch that was found to be 60% standard poodle, 31% golden retriever, and 9% Labrador retriever. She had none of the 220 health markers they test for. Hooray for hybrid vigor! She's got a course and wiry blue merle coat that's low maintenance, although she does shed quite a bit. Such an unusual looking dog.

🐶 It's not known unless you did genetic testing prior to breeding. Chances are you will get some sort of mix between cream and parti, but the litter colors can vary widely.

You typically don't want to mix two merle together (just letting you know if theres any chance the black and white is a merle. Mixing merle genes can lead to blindness, albino dogs, etc. Merle is typically a recessive gene, so mixing black and white would result in the more dominant color which would be black and white. Some pups would probably be merle though.

Any multi-colored coat is usually more expensive and sold at a premium by breeders. I would say that tri color is the more expensive. A mix of browns, blacks, and whites is pretty rare.

Let's clear some things up . The AKC doesn't accept Doodles of ANY breed as a breed. They consider them Mongrels and will NOT allow registration other than to track lineage and keep records with them and participate in their events. There are many many more breed colors of Doodle as there are Many color coats of the poodle. We have an Apricot and white with ticking, a black, and a white. AKC is NOT the be all end all and it's actually shameful how their snobbish standards have kept this breed along with Labradoodles and other doodle mixes from being recognized. AKC and their policy of not outbreeding to say lines with CKC registration and DNA tests have been the downfall of many of their recognized breeds due to inbreeding and lack of genetic variation. The Pug The Frenchie The Boston Terrier and many other breeds can thank the AKC for their short life spans and health problems due to breeding restrictions. We are CKC registered and are going to dual register with a Doodle only organization. We also DNA test. Do yourself a favor if you want a doodle. 1. Make sure they provide a DNA test. 2. Ask about the generation and understand that which generation you pick can have direct impact on upkeep of coat, and coat type. 3. Understand poodles are a sporting breed and were bred by hunters to retrieve ducks. They are headstrong and rambunctious! Your doodle has it going and coming but the Golden side really calms them down a ton. 4. Most reputable breeders can literally tell you what colors the female should throw and what color you should breed them with to get X result. DNA testing has allowed us to get it to a science of sorts. Lasty, enjoy your dog! I will never own another breed but Doodles after owning the 3 we have now. They are fantastic animals with so much to give.
