Oh, I'm so glad the A/D critical care food I mentioned is helping. I do think her eyes definitely look a little brighter and more "with it" today. Okay, I know this next suggestion is kinda picky but whatever works, right? 😊With that food I would break it into teeny tiny little separated blobs on the plate where she could get that small amount easily into her mouth. Just trying to think of anything and everything that might help. Continued prayers for Rosie! 😘

Rosie!!! You got this sweetheart. She is a special puppy going to a special family. When we got our goldendoodle our breeder was not going to sell him as there was an issue with his eye and no family was interested in him. When we arrived for puppy pick-up day, I wanted to see him as I initially fell in love with his picture. She debriefed us on what the vet said about the eye, and we took care of it when he was neutered. It's been 8 years and his eye has been fine. Our doodle Kevin is sending much love to Rosie, you guys, and her family!!!!!

Hi Erin I really feel for you right now. I’m a Uk breeder of Toy Poodles with 30 years experience. Trust me vets don’t know everything. They don’t have the experience we breeders do. I’ve nursed countless puppies back to full health who have had a bad case of coccidiosis. Try feeding Rosie every 2 hours during the day and every 4 hours at night. The amount she’s eating right now is enough to keep her alive but not enough to help her thrive. Also get some rehydration powders from the vet to mix with her water to keep her electrolytes up. It works wonders for getting them back up and eating far better than just plain water. You can make your own rehydration fluid for her by mixing 6 level teaspoons of sugar and 1/2 level teaspoon of salt into 1 litre of clean drinking or boiled water and then cooled. I hope this helps. Keep up the good work 👍👍

Little Rosie is having such a struggle right now. You are putting on a brave face, but I know how hard it is caring for a puppy that just can’t seem to turn the corner. It’s disheartening. She does look a little brighter in this video, but I agree with you that she should be further along in her recovery. Thank you for sharing Rosie with us. Raising and caring for puppies is not all snuggles and puppy kisses. You are being upfront with us in sharing the work and worry over caring for one that has critical needs. At some point you might have to consider the decision that you’ve done all you can do. As a responsible breeder, you will know if that time comes. If Rosie pulls through, if will be due to all your hard work and dedication. Again, Thank you for sharing the realities of caring for a puppy that is not doing well. It’s hard and heartbreaking. It’s life.

I've heard that liver water can really help perk up a puppy. Slowly boil a large piece of Beef Liver in a little bit of water for about 5 minutes, until the blood comes out. Cool, then drain the liquid off and put just 4 drops (no matter the breed) into a dropper and give to the puppy. At first you give it every 2 hours for 12 hours, then every 4 hours.
@suzydolan67232 жыл бұрын
Good to know! makes sense, the liver must give a big boost of Iron?
@mariaadams67432 жыл бұрын
@@suzydolan6723 from what I've read, liver is a vitamin rich protein that has iron, copper, zinc and essential fatty acids. I thought this might be worth mentioning. When humans get giardia, their stool sample may come back as cleared, after treatment. However, if they still don’t seem to be recovering, they may still have a low level of giardia that isn’t at a level high enough to register in the stool. It may be worth mentioning to your vet. @rogerharrison76092 жыл бұрын
@@DoodlesofNC it depends on what kind of brewer’s yeast you get. If you get the powered form, just a small amount sprinkled on top. If you get the tablets, you can crush them into powder for puppies. Adult dogs can take tablet with their food. For your situation, I think the powder would work best.

I would really really advise you to try the liquid cod liver oil a little bit on her food

We did goats milk and still do. Natural vet that does Chinese medicine. That is life saving or Katherine McDowell in Australia does phone consults. We used them for cancer years back.

Love your vids, you are such an inspiration! I’m glad she’s doing better! Is there a different type of bottom tray that you order? I ordered the trays and I notice one in your vid looks different than the ones from Amazon link . Thanks!

@@DoodlesofNC Hi ! In your video “potty training 24 puppies -week 5” at minute 12:52 the crate tray looks different, so you have a link for that type of tray? Thanks

I started giving DYNE , it’s a liquid supplement, to add more calories to our nursing momma recently. It really helped. Maybe try that to her for her to gain weight. ❤️

Hi Erin, will you let Rosie say goodbye to her brothers and sisters? My heart just breaks for Little Rosie. She looks so sad. I keep praying everyday that she will get better. I know it has to be very stressful for you.

Yes I’ve brought them in to see her !
