Great video. I have been doing this for 3 years and your better than I am. My doodles and the ones I train have in general a lower heat tolerance than expected. In looking for solutions in history I found an idea of close cutting fur on ears. Have you ever tried that?

That's great ! I have shaved their ears with a seven blade , but I think a ten is a lot safer . I've also used a short comb guard on ears too . Hope all goes well for your home grooming. Thanks for watching !

@@annscozyhome2172I have been doing the ear thing for about a month now and I think they are better with short hair on ears. I keep my doodles all over little shorter than this video year round. I used a 10 on her ears and as you said it is the right blade. Other thing I put close cropped rings about 2 inches above paws and 2 inches wide. For out door play and activities it keeps them cleaner. Below the ring normal walking and running will clean lower section. The cropped section can just be wiped off. I also don’t have to trim the nails ever. Concrete doesn’t wear them down. Dirt wears them down. Concrete surface gives pads grip so the claws don’t really dig in. On dirt they provide the traction and thus get wear.

Do you numb the ears first before plucking? Was it a regular ear wash solution followed by the powder?
@annscozyhome217210 ай бұрын
Hi , I use 'True Leaf ' Oil of Oregano , ear cleansing drops , and then a little ear powder to grip small amounts of hair at a time . Thanks for watching. 🙂

I try to leave the hair around the eyes longer. Since the sun causes cataracts, I try to leave some shade.
