Thanks for the video! Any suggestions for checking the Kerdi drain connection to the waste line? Most of the plugs I am seeing sit above the connection joint. I installed a drain to an already existing waste line without access to it and would like to check it before installing the shower pan etc.

What height did you end up cutting the curb down to?

Why do this instead of redguard? Seems much easier to just do a couple coats of redguard and call it good.

its a carcinogen ,toxic, and cracks

@@renzokuken1227 it only cracks if you apply it incorrectly, and even then you can just do another coat. As far as it being toxic, do you think mixing thinset is good for your health? Nothing is good for you if you don't use proper PPE.

I think both options work, but to me I sleep a bit easier at night knowing the Schluter system is behind my tile. I think redguard is still good alternative though

I just passed the flood test in my kerdi pan, still a bit apprehensive about it water proofing. How had the tile and shower held up for you after this?
