I have a few questions regarding how to bet on tried and true controlled shooters like yourself, that I would be honored if you would respond to for me. I noticed in your article on the GTC website titled “Come Bet Ramblings - Part 2”, at the end you wrote, “These results convinced me that Come betting is the way to go with random shooters”. This left me wondering, do you only use Come betting on random shooters and not on controlled shooters such as yourself? If you or Frank were given the dice, would you also use Come betting as your preferred method of betting? Do you ever Place or Buy bets at any point during a roll? Thank you so much, in advance. -Nasty

I have definitely had stick men act this way. The longer you roll the worse it becomes. I have had the stick waived in front of me, stick men changed just before hitting all points, excessive slowing of the dice, and many more. The one thing I have found that offsets the stick man is to add “crew love” to the pass line. When I put a bet down for the team working the table I have found they can become a part of your team very quickly. Put Down a pass line bet for them. Give the bet odds. Throw out a few hard ways for them. Put $5 on a fire bet. Don, I learned everything I know from you and Scoblete. I had many nights in Vegas and in Shreveport that we’re a huge success because of what you have taught. Nobody believed me. They all said the same thing. It’s impossible. Dice setting is real. Dice control is real. Being a advantage player at Craps is possible. Thank you for leading the way and turning impossibility into possibility. Losers play the house. I play poker professionally now. Craps is the only house game I will play and win and it’s because of you. You are a legend Dom. Thanks for the inspiration. The problem with this is that even with the prefect throw...those pyramid bumpers can change it randomly. The general rule is that you have to hit the back. Some places will let you get away with it, but generally if you're throwing across a table you're going to hit those bumpers. It's possible to somewhat control is based on the dice position and muscle memory, but it's not a promise of winning. There's more ways to roll a 7 than any other number so..
@Goldentouchcraps5 жыл бұрын
A 7 is going to show every 6 rolls, to get an edge when you throw you need to show a 7 every 6.23 rolls .... just .23 better and your edge against the house is 1.7% which is greater than the HE on the 6/8 which is 1.5%, and even better using comebets dom

Now, years later, after watching Casino Quest 30 roll challenge KZbin videos, I played field bets after seeing a guy from 30 roll challenge roll an awesome 6-7 back to back winning field numbers banking $7,000! Well I quickly tossed my field bets plus my point numbers and placed odds to cash out $200 twice in just 2 sessions of $100 buy ins. The reason why people, especially dealers, don't believe dice control works is because 98% of the people setting dice have NO IDEA what they are doing. I think people expect too much, like going 20 or more rolls everytime without the 7. It doesn't matter how perfect you throw the dice, they will bounce around and you'll get 7s. The key is too be able to roll consistently more rolls with dice control- more than the average shooter. Then you have the advantage. You can win a lot of money in a short amount of time just playing numbers..most people can't pull their bets down going for some long roll and that's why they can't win. Craps is almost even odds with random rolls. The odds bets are exactly even but you must bet the pass line to play them so overall bet is slightly negative. You only need to increase or decrease the odds of a 7 slightly to swing the overall winning percent over 50%

John and I still play regularly since taking your workshop about 5 years ago, with many HUGE wins and super long rolls practically every single time we're up. We've had the dice taken away from us a few times but so far, no banning. We like to go to the Rio in Vegas because the tables are super duper flat and they have a feature bet we win on a regular basis (small, tall, all), and for just warming up, it's nice they have the $5 tables in the morning. Anyway, I wanted to say "thank you, thank you, thank you." Thank you.

@Goldentouchcraps Жыл бұрын
First off the Griffin book is not in existence any longer. They were sued and had to close for many reason. Next, I am banned for about 50% of all the casinos in Vegas like the Bellagio, cruise lines, the whole state of MS and LA, all for dice control. Lastly, I really don't give a darn if you believe it or not. As a mater of fact I wish you would scream it from the hill tops that this doesn't work. Maybe the casinos will hear you and stop banning me Good luck! Dom

They're part where they talk about how the stickman has a job of messing with a good roller... I in no way claim to be a good roller. But I do remember I had one night where I had the dice for about 40 minutes. Every roll, the stickman had something to say. It was just a lucky roll. I just started, and it was like a $5 table and I didn't even really know how to bet but others on the table were winning hundreds and hundreds.

I’m not as good as Dominic but I set the dice and throw them well. But when I win not only do I tip the table well. And when doing real well I place bets for the table so they win with me. And they appreciate it and kind of root for me cause craps dealers split the tips only with the table crew so they never mess with me. In fact they tell the other players that I’m a good shooter.

I've been a dealer for over 10 years. We all want you to win. As long as you're tipping. If you win and don't tip, tho, you can bet we will remember next time we see you. Dealers don't make much hourly, and depend on those tips.
@Goldentouchcraps4 жыл бұрын
So true False. At every seminar and in every book we talk about tipping the dealers and show how we believe is the best way to tip. Dealers have a job and most dealers are not the enemy although some want to act like that. We are big tippers. Good luck! Dom

Yeah man, awesome documentary. I have 2 questions. Where did you get your practice table & what Las Vegas casino(s) has a crap table that was similar to your practice table. I made a practice box in the past. I used 5/8 plywood for the surface with 1/8 layer of newspaper and felt I bought from a vegas thrift store. I practiced on it for about a year & went to Vegas to find the tables in Vegas had a different bounce on the dice than from my practice box. That year I only played at the Downtown Casinos, the Cal, Freemont, Mainstreet, Golden Nugget & Binnions. Iʻm seriously looking to buy or build a table that has a similar surface to the ones in Vegas, especially the Downtown casinos. Iʻm not finding what the casinos use for their crap table surfaces. Any advice would be appreciated.

The tables now are using microfiber instead of felt. You have have to do your homework. Check out the tables at all the casinos. I went to Home Depot and purchased 3/4 inch Birch slab Cut it 20x24 use the excess for the sides and back Then buy a couple of yards of green microfiber and felt and spray adhesive from neighborhood fabric store. Buy a yoga mat and cut it 20x24 use this to make a bouncy side. The other side make make hard side. Last but not least go on Amazon and buy a rubber alligator pyramid back. You can build a kick ass practice station for half the price.

Why do they say the odds against tossing a hard 10 are 30:1 (that's the payout) the odds are 35:1 (as two dices have a 1/36 probability for each die's 1/6*1/6)! Can't believe they stated the wrong odds! :(

They don't build these casinos to lose money. Trust me, if they could, the casinos would load the dice and make it nearly impossible for the players to win. The casinos would control the games like a gaffed carnival with cheating as part of the action. Read up on the old days in Vegas. Some of the sawdust joints had crap tables so rigged the dice would "roll" like a car with two flat tires skidding down the felt. Thus if a player gets an advantage over the casino, I stand and cheer and clap with that player.

@Goldentouchcraps7 жыл бұрын
The ice tong grip has many problems, one of which is that it is almost impossible to get rotation on the dice to keep them on axis and without rotation gravity will pull them down off axis. If the 3 finger front is too difficult because maybe you have thick fingers, try the two finger front Dom
