Shirley Bassey was one of my Dad's favourites and we had many of her records. Her voice is amazing, so strong and so recognisable. I really enjoyed listening to this.😁

Dame Shirley is 87 now and was still performing a couple of years ago. In fact she had a top 40 album in 2020 and did a Royal Albert Hall concert in 2022, but I think she has now retired.

Oh DSB, this was the classic awards, and Dame Shirley will always applaud the people in the audience and everyone on stage and orchestra pit. In 2022 after a couple of years not singing live because of the pandemic The Royal Albert Hall, two separate engagements I think one for the 60th anniversary for Bond and the other for BAFTA. Actually Dame Shirley has sung four songs for Bond three title songs and the other Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which is part of Thunderball, in the end the title song Thunderball sung by Welsh counterpart and close friend of Dame Shirley, Sir Tom Jones, I think you can still hear the other song on here, and also Dame Shirley released her album I Owe It All To You in 2020 which is for all who have supported her throughout the 70 years on stage and screen worldwide, Sir Tom also released his album in this year which coincided with his 80th birthday entitled Surrounded By Time, made him the oldest male releasing new music in the charts

This was the 2011 Classic Brit Awards. 2022 was when she sang Diamonds are Forever at the BAFTAS. My favourites are the 2002 BAFTAS when she did a Bond Tribute singing both those songs. For me her peak was in her 60s when her voice deepened. I wish there were more varied reactions. Every other DSB reaction is Goldfinger!!!!
