I love this. Thank you. My blackmoor is 9 years old and he needs this pond. Unfortunately in the uk they don't sell them. He is very ill, please pray for him. Lil Soots. He's just so sweet. He is gasping now at the bottom of his aquarium. ❤

I have the rubbermaid 300 gallon stock tank. I think this is a cool option too, as it's easier to transport and move. I not only think they are better for the fish/whatever because it's more natural and doesn't confuse the fish with the trippy glass, but also they are so much more durable and cheaper! Good video! Stinks your drain plus broke.

How do we filter it? What kind of filter do we have to use? Like hob filter or canister filter...
@tanyacreedon7 жыл бұрын
What type of water filters are you using. If I wanted to add plants and a water pump would that be ok too? I doing research to start a pond. I love the fish you have. I also love butterfly koi. But your fish won't grow to big right?

@frelkagegesh57836 жыл бұрын
You'll still need air pumps but if you did no filtration, youd have to do a lot of water changes.

and thing is that.. i want to setup a pond like that..but to tell u the truth..i just hate to change the water. and it is a mini pond, and of course . i would desgin it with gravels and rocks and pond plants or lotus , it would be headache right to remove all those things and change water . all i am asking is that , is there any way without changing the mini pond water

@beo03048 жыл бұрын
What is your rate of water loss due to evaporation? I have a same size tub that has a submerged filter and a canister filter (its output waterfalls back into the pond) and it loses roughly 10cm/day. Is that normal? Are you experiencing the same thing. I really hope it doesn't a leak since i bought it used and I didn't test for any leak.
@sissymurphy96208 жыл бұрын
I have 2 of those tubs and mine do not leak at the plug .I use one for a filter tank for my koi pond and the other one for baby fish and pond plants when I need it .I love the straight sides also and I have had mine out side for over 3 years now all winter and summer .So they are very sturdy .I had a rubbermade one that cracked that was outside .The tub may cause mold to form on your carport .My one I move I made a wooden base with wheels so I can move it around
@GreenwaterFish8 жыл бұрын
the wheel idea is great! I might need to look into that.
@sissymurphy96208 жыл бұрын
You can buy a furniture moving flat ones with wheels already on it and the platfom has carport on it and you may need to do is add a piece of plywood to make sure the bottom of the tank is well supported .I am lucky I am a woman with power tools and a build knowledge

I'm planning on getting orandas or ranchus or black moors for my tank but my filter makes a bit of a current for them to swim against but will these types of fish be ok with a current as they don't swim as well as ordinary goldfish

I have the same tub in the same size. I'm now debating on what brand sponge filters to get. Right now, I'm looking at the Hydro-Sponge filters. What brand would you recommend? And what do you think about the Whisper air pump? That's the #1 rated one at the moment. I just really like to get opinions from people that already have experience.

Hi Greenwater Fish . I followed your recommendation And bought this Tuff Stuff Oval Tank online . However , it has a terrible plastic smell with this tank ! Is this normal ?? Was yours like that ? Also , the material inside the tank is rough . Not so smooth and I'm worried it will hurt my goldfish . Pls reply . Thanks a lot

Put some gravel on the bottom and some plants would you? That's too barren for them!
@reneehilscher61768 жыл бұрын
Rada M plants yes gravel no. River rocks or large pebbles are better. I saw a video of fish nearly die because it got gravel stuck in it's mouth. OP had to use tweezers to extract it from its mouth. Algea will grown anyways and they will have something on the bottom to scavenge on.
@radam2828 жыл бұрын
Exactly. And there are beneficial bacteria growing on/in the substrate as well, which helps keep the tank cycled and the fish alive and happy. Rocks would be good too if you say gravel is a no no for your fish. Mine spit the gravel back out.

Is it ok to hold goldfish when transferring them to a diffrent aquarium?
@GreenwaterFish8 жыл бұрын
+dragontwinj Yes! It is actually recommended if you are comfortable doing so, because your hands are more gentle with their scales/fins and you have better control with your hands too. Just to make sure you handle your fish gently. Preferably with fish head towards your wrist and tail towards your finger tips, so you don't torn up their beautiful tails. have fun!

+Ralf Nuggs I totally get what you are concerned about! Although I live on the fifth floor, I wouldn't be able to give you any suggestions, as each structure is different with regards to building material, condition, plumbing, joints separation, direction, etc. etc. At least you have 800lbs of water to take care of already!
