Hi Bailey. Nice to meet you. I just found your channel today and wanted to say hi. My fiancé and I keep fancy goldfish in the seattle area. I haven’t been able to get through much of your content yet, but was wondering if you’ve had any successful spawns? We’ve been keeping our Goldies for about 3 years now and are currently growing out our first spawn of 60 fry. I’m jealous of your aquarium rack! Is that six 75 gallons on there?

Welcome! I haven’t had any successful spawns yet, basically all my fish up to this point have been too young to spawn/ or fish I’m not interested in breeding. Hoping to change that soon! They’re six 40 gallons 👍🏼

@@westcoastgoldies That makes sense. It took our fancies almost 3 years to mature. As I was catching up on some of your content, I realized you were on week 16/20. 1 month left to have some success? I would bet you can find success on KZbin as a source of honest and relevant information to goldfish keepers. It’s clearly not easy to gain a large following, etc. but there’s a lot of demand for fish keeping/ aquarium content. Finding a balance of making videos that are relevant to your hobby in formats that the fish community likes to consume could really help you pick up some steam. You seem like a positive person who’s passionate about their goldfish hobby. While keepers like you and I don’t have decades of experience or 300 aquariums like some KZbinrs, the experiences and advice we have to share can be extremely beneficial to others getting started.

@@kellyroach76 thanks for the feedback 👌 I might still try to put out some content after this series, it might just be rare 😂

Also what’s the best Alvie scraper in your opinion I’m growing Algie now

For glass lots of things work, I like razor blade or magnet scraper. For acrylic you pretty much need a melamine sponge. I haven’t experimented with different magnet scrapers but I need to.
