They had to make the games hard because they were very short. Nobody would pay a lot of money for a game they can complete in under an hour. The games cost £25 back in 1985, which is £76 today.

I think we are all just spoiled by today's games. I feel like ALL games in the 80's were super difficult compared to modern games (in terms of mechanics and death)

@MandyB_Underscore this game is lovely to play, but it's just too hard. I turned on a cheat afterwards and even with invincibility it is a really large game map with endless areas that would be insanely challenging without "help".
