Great explore guys, love seeing these old places left in time. I am so glad to see the respect you show for the memory of the family who lived there. Very well could have been two or three sisters or a mother and daughters who lived there. Sad to think people have gone in before you and have either trashed the place or stolen things. Thanks for sharing your journey with me and others. We all get to see places and thing that we would probably never get to see otherwise. Thanks again, stay safe, God bless and much love sent your way.

It make no sense to leave so many nice things to stay in a 🏠 house that is decaying on top of itself. That beautiful ship 23:56, the white bedroom set and the corner chair 21:20, all the little dollhouse trinkets and furniture, the green dishes 6:27, vases and boxes, really nice tables need to be taken out of there for others to enjoy and not be destroyed.

"An old hoover there... which I now know is a brand." LOL!!! Oh, you youngsters! I always get a kick out of the way the Brits use the brand name "hoovering" to describe what we here in the US refer to it as "vacuuming". But at least now you know from where that term derives! I was amazed to see the Harry & David calendar from 2000 -- that's a famous fresh fruit company started in 1914 here in the US, famous for their Comice pears. I live 15 miles (24 km) from the original orchards and packing houses, here in So. Oregon. blog.harryanddavid.com/who-are-harry-and-david/ This cottage you found is an amazing time capsule! Based on the dates you found, wallpapers, furniture, upholstery, assorted knickknacks (bits & bobs on your side of the pond), and the photos, a few possible storylines started to form: -- You said this place was way off the beaten track, so unless these were farmers or land girls who bought property after the war (possible, but it doesn't look like it), they wanted privacy. As you said, it certainly didn't have anything that pointed to a male presence, and, in every instance, the pictures you showed were all women, not a man anywhere. -- There was a plaque on the kitchen wall that said "Irish Transport", and along with you finding a lot of Bibles, and there was a Catholic magazine with a nun on the cover... Catholics it seems, and certainly one of them was Irish. Devout nursing Sisters banding together? -- A number of the pictures showed women in nursing Sister uniforms from varying decades. And a later picture showed a nursing Matrons uniform. Nurses were not allowed to marry. If they did, they had to leave the profession. The ones who were truly dedicated to the art of nursing made that choice, somewhat like a nun but without other 'restrictions', if you will. They had a social life and could travel. The elaborate mahjong game box and the beautiful Chinese cloisone bowl with carved wooden stand along with other rather fine Chinese objects makes me wonder if at least one of them took a trip to the Orient. Those items would not have been available locally. -- Irrespective of the seemingly unusual domestic arrangement, one thing is for certain, they were obviously very musical, artistic, and independent. And, as nurses through several world wars, based on the pictures, they dedicated themselves to helping others. It's very possible that the last tenant died there or was taken to hospital in an emergency and never came home (or that hip operation forced her into a care home? or didn't survive the surgery?). Whichever way, "then there was none", with, very possibly, no beneficiaries to the property. Or, if there were, they couldn't pay the death taxes, thus losing it to the Crown. Great job on the video! You have a new USA sub (who's also an anglophile), and who, obviously, enjoys trying to piece the life story together from the clues! ~ Cheers from Oregon

Great explore. The broken knife infront of the Chinese puzzle box was a letter opener. The photo's were of nurses and it was if a Matron that had the white hat like a Nun. Two elderly Ladies, one at least using a walking frame. Old school like me retired nurses, tgey loved their books, painting and drawing. It would have been a beautiful home in it's time. So many things worth a fortune in there. Thank you.

Hello Adam, new viewers from Kentucky USA. We just found this channel and subscribed. My wife watched about 15 of these non-stop and then told her friends some of the things she saw. They couldn't believe it and started watching your channel as well. We are an older couple and remember when many of these items were popular. Those farm heaters and lanterns are very popular here for restoration. There are so many items in these homes that are highly collectible here in the States. Shame there isn't a way to contact the owners and work out an arrangement. Hard to believe people just walked away from these homes and properties. Keep up the excellent work!

what a find! T U 4 sharing this walk through! So sad that things like photos were left behind. It would be so nice to know more about the house. Was it like a group home for elderly women? A family? Things that were left behind had to be things they wouldn't have room for where they were going - off to a nursing home maybe? Or deceased with no family? So sad. Other than the decay, caused mainly by the bad roof, the house is a real trip back in time. So many things that had to be precious to those that left them.

Now everything's mostly in the ☁️. I don't feel so bad now. What they left behind doesn't matter anymore... all the trinkets and the made beds are soon to be dust to dust. All that lasts forever is what we do for the Lord. I don't talk about Jesus and about how he saves enough. 💖
