I've noticed a change in FAA attitudes towards pilots in general... And exhibit a more punitive deminor towards all applicants... And flight checks shouldnt cost 800 bucks!!! Now one has to email fsdo to speak to anyone; cant just call them.So,i call AOPA to answer my questions...oh and you have to be a member before they'll speak to you....

literally witnessed an FAA official take a guys log book and aircraft logs because he didn't like the way he answered the question. the guy had to hire a lawyer to get his property returned.

Yep I noticed that too. He also mentioned the ACS sates the student show a "mastery" of the knowledge when in fact it states "satisfactory" knowledge. I do not see "mastery" anywhere. Elitist attitude.
