Also--little known fact--some dogs have an anti-photography clause in their human-dog contracts, and this might be a violation. My female cat gets UTIs semi oftenish and we’ve found she’s happier taking her medicine if we mix it into a wet lickable treat or into wet food. Just based on the spicy purrito, I bet Pablo might feel similarly :)

I just lost my cat Charlie on Dec 20th due to some type of bladder/kidney issue. Not sure exactly as I could not get even emergency vets to see him. I now give my other cat Lil Bit a 1/2 can of wet food per day with about a 1/2 can of water so I can be sure Lil Bit gets enough water each day.

One of my old dogs never really cared about food and treats that much. Turns out he had a cracked tooth and a nerve was exposed. Once that was fixed he was more excited for meal time and treats.

I honestly just started watching your channel yesterday but I’m already invested in Pablo‘s health. My little Milo kitty who I have a very close bond with, had a very similar experience about a year and a half ago on my husband’s birthday of all days too. He’s better now, but he has to take his prescribe vet food still, and likely for life. So, he’s an indoor kitty . Wishing the best for Pablo and that he’s out of his kitty condo soon and roaming the farm. :)

My guess before watching: Ginny is gonna have more variety since she comes around a lot more places than Tobi dog. Tobi is calmer and is gonna have the more stable and thus higher quality footage. Aren‘t there camera bodyharnesses, so that dogs and cats can wear the camera in front if their chest instead of around their neck? Tobis footage is already great, but from ginny we almost only see the ground, so that would probably improve by fixing the camera face forward at the chest. If your animals accept the bodyharness that is, some animals (especially cats) simply don‘t like them. 😅 We don‘t want them to be uncomfortable. 😊

When cats go outside the box, it's their way of telling you they're sick. Which you know about already, but Pablo doesn't know that. Also, going on the furniture is his way of claiming his territory in a new shared kitty environment. He looks pretty good though and he should be fine. It's such a scary thing to go thru!

I so happy to see Pablo's health is improving with the meds and special diet food. I have a suggestion that may help with Pablo's litter scattering. Move Pablo's litter box to a spot where you can place a large sheet of plastic beneath it. It will make clean-up much easier and keep the area cleaner. My Boozy-Boo (yes, that's her name!) would turn my bathroom into "a day at the beach" scattering litter all over the floor. I hope this suggestion helps, as I'm a fur mom, too. Toby Dog and Molly and Ginny Barn Cat just like to mix it up once in awhile to keep life interesting for you. Perhaps Toby Dog is sensitive to the weight of the larger camera.

Glad to see Pablo is on the mend! Ginny's angles are the best! As a Canadian who has always loved to be outside in the Winter, one of the things I love is the sound of snow at different temps. I can generally tell how cold it is within 5*C by the sound my boots make. The squeak it makes about -30*C and colder is my fav!

Maybe you could try putting a camera on one of the cows you end up keeping when you decide to breed them? Starting off young will get them used to the camera way quicker. And you probably won't be accidentally stabbed 🤣🤣 Toby also might not eat with the camera on because he's anxious about the camera? Dogs who are actually nervous/anxious will refuse to eat until the source of their nervousness/anxiety is gone, even if the food being offered is the greatest food ever

Depending on when he was neutered, Pablo might have established certain habits like spraying. That was something our vet warned us about when we were discussing when to get our male kitten neutered. While the instinct to mark his territory and for aggression will go away with his testes, if they get into the habit of mounting, spraying, etc, those habits will persist even after the instincts are gone. That's part of the reason why it's so important to get male cat neutered within their first 6 months (although it's going to depend on the cat as to exactly when their puberty really starts kicking in - some do it earlier and some later). That's why it's often really hard to find homes for male cats that weren't neutered young - no one wants a cat that's gonna spray all over their house. For those male cats, they kinda have to be outdoor cats for the rest of their lives unless you can find some kind of solution. More litter boxes in highly trafficked areas where they seem to want to spray could help to some extent, but that's also a lot more work as well (plus, the fact that you've then got litter boxes basically everywhere). I will say that as someone with hip problems, rolling litter boxes are a gift from the cat gods! I just wouldn't be able to manage the number of litter boxes we have in our house without them (we have 3 cats and 4 litter boxes). And they're pretty cheap too, unlike those fancy auto-litterboxes (which in my experience don't tend to last all that long for the cost).

Human infants don't develop the habit of spraying urine everywhere they go which persist throughout their lifetime, no matter how much love and training ppl give them. I'm guessing you don't have any experience with intact adult male cats. Dogs can be trained not to mark indoors, cats cannot. As long as you don't mind dogs humping, a simple vasectomy will work just fine (altho it's more expensive in the US for some reason). It won't work for cats. There's been tons of discourse about this online.

I think Toby probably does not like when he bends his head down the camera might bump against his face. A better option for him might be a body harness if he will be ok to wear it or you might also try one of the tiny cameras so he doesn't feel it on his collar.
