Golen 4.6L stroker sound

1998 jeep wrangler TJ. 5 Speed. 4.6L Golen Engines Stroker. Metalcloak 3.5in short arm lift. 1 inch body. Tummy Tuck skids. Ford 8.8 rear and built Dana 30 front. Arb airlockers front and rear. Adams front drive shaft, Tom Woods rear drive shaft and sye (JUNK) The exhuast is just a muff delete.

It’s not 100 hp. Not sure how you got that misinformation. It’s more about 40 horsepower and some significant torque. Still a major difference

James Acord imo go with a v8 for the price. I don't know numbers off the top of my head atm I could find the paper work buried somewhere. Golens engine is like 4999 you just have to put it in, plug and play

I'm all about an LS swap, but doing a proper LS swap on a 5-speed (which is what I have/want to keep) isn't going to be done reliably for what it seems like this will run... making roughly the same amount of power. There's pros and cons to both routes, but the 4.6l stroker seems like the best bang for the buck. Were you pleased w/ the outcome?

@@dansbird A stock 5.3 truck motor will kill the 4.6 stroker. The stroke isn't for making more power, rather it's for more torque at less Rpm. If cost is an issue, don't build a stroker 4.0.

Figured I would answer some of the Qs about cost of Golen 4.6 as of 2022. It is at 7K for engine. Delivery and crate add up to 1K. Odds and ends like new water pump, quality gaskets, bolts kit..... Adds another 500~1000. All in, for this swap, I am roughly in 9k~10K (adding other small things and tools, transmission jack, engine hoist..)

Don Gross Adams Drive Shafts all the way give them a call and they can hook you up. Had my front driveshaft from them long story short had the center slip joint go bad they sent a new one free of charge. Customer service is great.
