Mike's always been right. I went from an 80's scorer to 1.3 in a summer with his "tip the club out" feeling with no actual instruction. And then I started following Milo Lines and my game took a huge step back. But it's not because he is wrong. Not at all. The mistake I made was thinking I didn't need that "tip out" move anymore. When I finally put the two together I started swinging faster than I ever have before. Now I can have as much or as little shaft lean as I want. They talk about the swing in such different ways, but at the end of the day they are trying to get you to accomplish the same goal. I guess it makes sense that Milo likes to hit low fades and Mike likes hitting high draws. I could be dead wrong but I'm sticking with it

I think Dana gets this right...if you land left early, and push out of the ground, none of the arms and hand moves matters. It lines up with speed.

I've been watching you since you started ..... I am deep down the rabbit hole of YT golf videos. Amazing to see how flexible and limber you have gotten physically throught out the years. good for you. You have a far more advanced swing than the average golfer out there. I do like Dan Alton instruction. Some viewers compare it to M Malaska instruction, but I think they are very different. Wish you would do a video of Marcus Edblad...he is my favorite male instructor and Lily golf is my favorite female. They keep everything very clear and simplistic and easy to understand. Inprovements come very quickly with their instruction.

I think the Flamingo drill is the best tip I got off this channel for a weekend golfer. You should revisit this move. I like today's video based on the ability to revisit what might have worked in the past

Perhaps I will give this another try. Malaska golf swing didn't work for me in the past, but I think I know more about it now.

Been watching you for years and kept hoping you would finally discover these "feels". Many teachers have tried to convey this to you, not just Malaska, with that counter force move but also AJ Bonner, with the "driving the nail" and being "early with the bat." I do not, however, believe this jives with how Milo teaches the swing. This nothing personal. I've seen many people finally understand this concept and really fet better fast. Another concept or feel that helped me and i try to pass on to other is picturing that im trying to hit the inside top of the ball with the club face and that the top edge of the face is getting to the ball before the bottom leading edge. This works best with a 6 to 4 iron to get the concept. This also helps with path, compression, and ball first contact.

I love your interest in the many ways to swing a club. I've watched nearly all of your explorations. Unfortunately, during a round of golf, I try them all.

Tell me if I’m wrong but the “Malaska move” also seems to fit with when you were using the gem a lot and were trying to feel like you swinging it at your lead thigh or knee.
@bryanlina47244 сағат бұрын
I always wonder with these measurements, is it the hands actually rotating like that or is the force measured into the right hand just due to the force of the clubhead trying to go behind you. In other words, if we say Rory or whoever measures X amount of lbs of force with his right hand in transition into the club handle. Is that because he is applying that force or the club head trying to go the other way and his hand is resisting that force and shows the X amount of right hand force generation? Just curious. Swing looks good though.

It's a virtually no rotation move. Very consistent. TGM approved! Edit: hey Brendon... Where's the science on this?

This is my favorite video of all of the BE BETTER GOLF videos I have watched over the years! You are familiar with Mike Malaska and the Malaska move. You should also take a look at Dan Alton Golf Instruction for his ideas on the golf swing. One difference in the Dan Alton golf swing is that he is more in the frontal plane and with less body rotation in the shot. Dan Alton fells like there is a casting of the club from the top with a feeling of folding (left wrist extension) that is to the right of the body and near the right thigh. Dan Alton does not want you to "pull the handle" through impact. To me it feels like the clubhead is speeding up and reaching the ball before the hands. It also feels that my right shoulder is not moving out too early toward the ball and that my back is facing the target longer into the downswing. I have done some videos on Dan Alton and on the Malaska move on my "Steven Vig" youtube channel and you are welcome to take a look at those. I would love to see you do a video session with Dan Alton on your Be Better Golf channel. Dan Alton is in Raleigh, North Carolina. Great job with this video ! Steven Vig

are you naturally in to out on path?
@stevenvig927Сағат бұрын
@@benkaminsky For me, i need to feel like I am swinging slightly from in to out on my path. When I try to swing in to out, I actually swing from inside to square and back inside so that my path is pretty much straight. If I try to swing straight, I end up swinging out to in.

I'm glad you noted several times that the forces are quite large in the dynamic swing. I'm tired of people talking about "effortless" swings with irons being 90+mph and driver well over 100mph. These are not easy things to accomplish!

Maybe you should try Titleist’s TPI. I have seen many of their and they test your strength and flexibility and find out if some strength issue where maybe an arm, shoulder, back or leg is weaker or has less flexibility. And could be this issue is causing to cross the the line at the top, or causing you take the club to far inside on Backswing. Or any other fault they could see.

I’m exactly like you. My wife actually found you and said ..I found your golfing brother from another Mother 😂. Im Always looking for “feels” I can use on the course to hit consistent. It’s so frustrating to shoot 75 today & 82 tomorrow. Life long struggle to find the path I can repeat depending on how stretched I was or how often I was practicing. Meanwhile , I have playing partners that take 2 weeks off and always score the same. 😢

Checkout crossfields new video. In the downswing try to have the toe of the club higher at impact. It kind of forces a Malaska type move and works oddly well.

Dan Alton? Fold the club?
@JimmyVespe4 сағат бұрын
You have no idea what you are talking about. Your club is a little across the line at the top so it naturally will start falling behind you. That is the crux of the poor top of swing position. You can't band aid that with the Malaska Move. Hogan's club didn't really tip over nor did it fall under coming down. He laid it off at P4. Your club is steep at P4. Watch your video from P4 the first 3-4 frames down. Your club isn't falling behind early, it is falling behind late.

That Malaska move ruined more than helped Feel isn’t real for his stuff
@adammarkowitz557Сағат бұрын
Seems really over-thought and overdone. How can you keep track of knees, foot pressure, hips, shoulders etc . in the span of time it takes to swing the club? You worked with Malaska - doesn't he believe that the hands and arms swing the club and the body responds (for the most part)? I would think this method is infinitely simpler and more effective; learn to swing and the body comes along for free.
@bushidonation783548 минут бұрын
You can’t, he’s a classic over thinker…probably a golf coaches nightmare. Those are just feels that help his brain tell the body what to do. Everyone’s is different
