I'm going to try the long and slow. The right handed chipping the other day is challenging to practice right without knowing what type of shot to hit with just the one hand. It still helped really release my right hand which I don't think I have been doing well. Thanks for the advice!

Great stuff! I struggled so much before getting measured by a teacher that uses this. Trying to set up and swing like the average tour player made me worse over the years. Turns out I have a weird body. On top grip, 5’11 with a 6’4” wingspan, limited shoulder external rotation, longer forearm and rear post. I gotta swing more like Rocco Mediate to offset the ridiculous amount of steepeners. lol. For those that think it’s crazy that’s fine, but it has helped me so much. I am super grateful.

I'm fascinated with the getting measured part. I agree with his idea for the low spinner, but you have to have a cut path to get it low and wicked spinning. The cut path is an essential ingredient. Without it, you're leaving a 1k rpms on the table.

A "low spinner" is simply good contact as the ball will not ride up the face and pop up with low spin. Very lie dependent and typically a low spinner is prime for a tight firm lie since it is much harder to get underneath the ball. You can definitely get a wicked spinner by digging the toe down, opening the face and cutting across it without releasing the hands, it is a good shot to have if you are short sided and have a good lie. In this video his high shot is not "holding the angle" but rather he is hitting behind the ball and using the bounce.

Informative tips. What loft club are you using? I tend to chip with a 54 but feel like I might be better off with more loft for these types of shots.
