Glad you liked it here. We looked at a lot of places for retirement before we settled on the Villages. You will find the wonderful people here in addition to the amenities are what makes this place what it is. Might be something to consider down the road when you get retirement age.

We absolutely loved The Villages! You’re totally right. Everyone there is welcoming and there are so many different things to do. It would definitely be a place we’d considered when it’s time to retire. 😁

We did our first visit Aug 2021 and fell in love with TV. I remember our first time in the golf cart - OMG Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!!!! We moved here Feb 2022 and now living the dream. Good luck to you both. :) BTW, we're not retired either.

From a Villager: Put your GPS in "bicycle" mode. It will direct you to the golf cart paths to get to the Thai place. ;-)

Ordinances are by locality in Florida. Here in South Carolina you can drive up to 6 miles from the house on any road below 40 mph speed limit. My electric Club Car runs 50 mph and will run over 40 miles on a charge....

Our backs and knees are 55 😅 We’re pet and house sitters so we had an assignment for a couple that lived there.

You don't have to be 55 to live here. I have a friend that bought a premiere home here and was in his 40s. Lives here full time...
