I've been playing golf clash for the past 2 years and honestly it's one of the most addictive app games I've ever played. With that being said it's also one of the most frustrating games I've ever played as well. I just try to play 'conservative' game Don't take risky shots. Offset for wind. Be patient when releasing your shot (to get perfect shot) power up on your clubs whenever possible and choose 'well balanced' clubs. Seems to work.

Thanks Tommy! These tips definitely helped me. I was consistently finishing like somewhere in the middle of tournaments i think 30th was the highest i ever finished. But i just finished 2nd overall in the Winter Major and shot -25! I know that's probably not that great for a player of your calibur but for me that is the best I've ever done! Something that has helped me come back from my legendary losing streak is play it safe if you're unsure about where to go on a new course or tournament. Look for the red markers on the course they can give you a basic guide on what direction to go (this isn't true in every course). Last but not least watch all of Tommy's KZbin videos he has helped me play smarter and I win more than I lose. Thanks Tommy

Use your gems to open chests early on and for balls later on. For me, I didn't start using special balls until tour 7 and I'm now in tour 8 and I'm just starting to use gems for balls.

I think you are absolutely right, when changing the strategy on spending gems from opening chests (earlier) and eventually buying club cards in the shop during the first 5 to 6 tours to then buying balls. I think you can save a lot of gems during the first tours, avoiding special balls where possible. You should try to get better with difficult shots instead of making gameplay easier with special balls. Sure, you won't advance as fast but on the other hand, you will get the appropriate set of clubs for your level and thus aren't outplayed by opponents with much better clubs. Between tour 5 and 7 most players start to stall on their clubs: they have their frequent ones on level 8+ and the rare or epic ones on level 4+. Then, there is no real point anymore in spending gems on clubs or chests because the advancement is still very slow and you already have a good set of clubs, so you don't have to spend gems to make it even better. At this point, the balls really make a difference, so you should use them.

Agreed... At the beginning: best to used gems sparingly as you will need them when you had a few bad runs as we do... to save your ass. But, use as little as required just to achieve that goal... Best to go down a game.. to get your confidence back... Skill is much cheaper! Use gifted special balls you receive springingly if you don't understand how to play with the normal ones..others will confuse and compound the problem.. Rethink..learn to play the course well, Learn to hit the ball correctly and constantly... Leave the 'special balls' as an 'enhancement to an existing skill level' say, when your gameplay is winning 7 out of 10 games in, (My ave is 61% in Pro 3 'Gotcha') I feel other balls are only needed above game 5, personally never use them below that, yet can beat higher ranking players who are using superduper balls yet can't hit the shot correctly. Or do not know the course very well... Or both.. Thus wasting those valuable balls! Love it when I use normal ones and bang them ahead plus Win... Major confidence booster which encourages us all to play bigger games... Knowing your good... Esp, when others comment, ' You're Good' because... you pulled those difficult shots off... Using... a normal ball...!

Great vid Tommy, and you have many, as well as the best guides for tourneys. A key word I caught in tip 2, is " learn". It's not luck. I find myself now watching self help vids on KZbin 50% of the time, and then practicing new knowledge playing the other 50%. As i have 2 accounts, the most economical way to do this practice is play one account vs. the other, in friendly match option us8ng white balls. Endbringer schools and short game, power hooks and slices from tee etc. Studying shots from one's own saved files ( the TV button bottom left, then right tab ' your hub') can help one pinpoint mistakes making. Doesn't matter how good you are in this game, it's only if you have good clubs that you stand a better chance of winning a game. The match pairing is unfair 90% of time. So this video is for people with EM 6 or higher. Game should be paired for people who has played the same amount of games.

I disagree about dunking. I watched a different video that recommended dunking as well, and I started doing it. At first they all went in, but then I started missing. When I asked the Playdemic team about it, I was told that the slope of the green, or the wind or whatever was affecting the ball from going in. I wound up losing several million coins I couldn't afford, instead of hitting it short and maxing the topspin, which is what I had been doing and since have gone back to. I find that I make a much higher percentage of chips using that method instead.

I was going to comment and say the same thing you said Bill Shore but I saw your post and figured I would just add my two cents here! I have to agree with Bill for some reason it works better for me to Max my top spin on close shots and ship it to the hole rather then dunking. I am guessing that there will be some kind of reward for dunking rather then shipping it in with Max top spin the other thing with Max top spin I don't have to be perfect on my release and the majority of times the ball goes in the hole on great rather then perfect. Maybe it's just a fluke but this is what I have seen so far. And Tommy thanks for posting your videos!

I work to "steady" my accuracy from tablet or phone as well. Playing thru Facebook Gameroom with a mouse works the best for me. Full screen (almost) on a decent monitor or TV is a great visual. PC ftw. ;)

Some questions: Should you still attempt dunking with a club such as the Skewer, Dart, or anything except The Down in One? What if you have the Down in One and it's a chip shot with a wedge but it's still a long distance from the hole and you have a Down in One? Wouldn't the wind play a factor then or if your on a hill above the hole where it may affect ball? And when you get the Daily 3 stake special offer for whatever the number of gems for gold it always appears to be a good deal. So would that be an exception to spending gems for gold?

Robbie Lee, Actor and All Around Entertainer only get coins with gems from the daily special but only if you can budget for it. I came up with a plan for saving gems. I use to buy the daily deal when I would lose. It did help me get started on my comeback from my horrific losing streak, but in the long run save your gems use Tommy's bankroll management guide to help you. My budget is: I only save the free gems I save from free chests ex 6 free chests a day=60 gems. Level up your clubs, buy the special golf balls, and occasionally open a platinum chest when its at the halfway point. I currently have 689 gems all from the pin chest and the free chests. I do buy the special deals and new tour packages. Those gems I normally use all of the gems I received from the deal on golf balls. I always save the freebies. When you see the extra mile in the club upgrades thats when you spend your gems and possibly buy a few extra. I however never drop below 360 just in case I have to buy 9 titans or 9 katanas. This all has helped me but it comes down to what makes the game more fun for you.

dunking can be done with any club really, but it's a lot easier from short range AND with a club with high accuracy. Skewer, rapier and endbringer are all good, because they also allow you to chip in from longer range. The DIO is pretty useless for that because it has no ball guide. Personally for me, I dunk almost everything around the green unless it's a really large green. As long as the red circle is within the cup I know I can just line up to just inside the edge of the cup where ever the wind is coming from. If the red circle is outside of the cup, I have to adjust a bit more where the yellow circle hits slightly next to the cup. You get better as practice more with it. Long range dunks are harder. It depends on how far you are from the hole with a particular club and if there is any change in elevation which will make the ball travel through the air longer and therefor the wind will have more effect.

I hardly ever get points to upgrade my good clubs but I get a ton of points for clubs like the "ROCKET" and other lame clubs. Also I play all the time mainly Tour 7 and that's the tour that says will unlock "THE CATACLYSM" I'm up to 4000 games and 500 of them are Tour 7...no CATACLYSM found yet. The games rigged af. As I've got to Asia Pacific all of a sudden the accuracy of there the all tells you it's going to land is well off, it wasn't like hat before, I was up to 4000 coins and now down to 30, their attempt to make me buy stupid chests to carry on playing. Games rigged to shit. Good clubs don't make a good golfer but in this game it does. And it fucks around with the landing point when you get further in.

Topspin is ok at avoiding some wind but otherwise if you don't want to dunk you're more likely to get it in the hole with a "great" if you're closer to the hole. 👌🏼

I'm a beginner and nowhere can I find instruction on maneuvering the target circle. How to use two fingers to get the different functions of the circle. Everyone assumes we know at the beginning. I have to be able to maneuver the shot circle easily before I can think about wind effects.

To turn the screen you will put to fingers on the screen and turn it the way you want it. To zoom in you would use to fingers a bring them together. Zoom out two fingers and move them away from each other.

Tommy, when you were talking about dunking the ball, which you said will give you a higher chip in shot percentage, well, you should have also mentioned that you can get a higher chip in shot percentage if you have a club with high accuracy and a lot of front spin, which you can back you rings up as far as you can to where your ball guide can reach the hole, this keeps your ball on the ground instead of in the air, which makes your chip in shots much more accurate and easier. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, so maybe you can make a new updated version of this video regarding the chip in shots.

I always dunk if I'm on fringe, up to a couple of yards on fairway.....8 out of 10 times, I get it in!
