She's wrong about Arnie's length off the tee. He was never the longest, but he was long for his time with the equipment and ball they used then. Drove the 346 yard 1st hole at the 1960 US Open. Yes, it was Colorado, but it was a persimmon driver and a balata ball. Try that sometime.

What a great golfer and most of all a very good person. I hope the golfers coming up today can try and be such a man. Too bad we have a guy like Tiger Woods around.....he has made things ugly and Tiger doesn't even see it. Glad to have known you Arny......................

@t zeiser-You have sullied the memory of a legend by using the sad news of his passing to spew your hatred and bigotry! As a Palmer fan and Woods admirer, I feel obliged to call out your depravity.... you should also be aware that Woods and Palmer shared a special friendship and Woods also does great for the game and to charities but does not sing about it in the media... Shame on you.

Who are you to admonish anyone for giving their opinion, Mr Ladd. This is America not N Korea. Let people speak their mind. There was no "hatred" or "bigotry" in anything that was said. You are projecting your own sensibilities. Tiger Woods has been pampered his whole life. As a consequence he is part self centered ass and, more remarkably, a good guy in other ways. Just wonder if both are present because of all the scrutiny that he is constantly under from fans, sponsors, & affiliations.

Jack Ladd....Apparently you have no clue as to what is a good or bad person. I hope that you don't see a good person when you look at yourself in the mirror everyday. If you still admire Tiger Woods as a person...shame on you. As a golfer.......his short career is OVER!!!! Too many injuries (that is what is the news anyway....not sure if that crap is all true) and too many mistakes for one person to make................ I was a Tiger fan when he first came on the scene. He was something short of amazing. After all the news came out about him and his "true" self...I was pissed that he tried to LIE about it and refused to accept that he sucked as a person. SHAME on you for your comment....tells me a lot about YOU and I don't even know you.......THAT says a lot............
