Hi! Could you tell me what Injectors you use. I have a Passat 131 pd and want to make it to anywhere from 220-250 hp, what would you recommend doing on the engine? Thanks

Normally I would recommend the GTB2260VK turbo but the Passat is quite heavy so I guess a GTB2056VK will perform better in a car like that when it comes to driveability.

How is it this turbo to daily driving in town it's unpleasure to drive because the lag? How is compared to hybrid it's pushes you more in seat? It has very much lag?

I'm driving it daily for approx 40.000km a year and the drivability is very good. Not that flexible as with a 1749VB but it can do 1,5 bar at 2000 RPM in higher gears. Despite it is not spooling that much in lower gears there is flow enough to drive it smoothly from roundabout to roundabout. I'm driving 100 km/h on the highway in 6th gear with it (1900 RPM) without problems, even uphill on cruise control it can hold the speed but if you want to be fast then you need to downshift to 4th. It's on full boost at 2800 RPM (2.4 bar) but on the highway it wil make 1,5 bar without problems at 2000 RPM so that will make it not any slower than a stock PD150.

@@toninhotlou4560 It's the same. I think the pd150 has a bigger turbo and intercooler versus the pd130.And if I'm not wrong I think it has a different ECU.

Jahoor, EDCsuite heeft gewoon checksumcorrectie? wat heb je aangepast ? je mag de file ook opsturen, dan kijk ik er even naar. heb je toegevoegd op Facebook, kan via Messenger

Sirbu Mihai, I don’t know exactly. And I don’t want to know it exactly haha. I’m doing everything myself, converting turbo’s from electric actuator to vacuum, welding of intercooler piping and the software also so I’m saving a lot of money on that. Don’t know how the roadtax rules are in your country but a 1.9 TDI with 200 HP is faster as an 1.8 20VT with 200HP. And it’s cheaper to reach that amount of horsepower in a 1.9 TDI. I’m spending a lot of time with searching 2nd hand parts, most of the stuff you can buy for half of the price or less and then it’s only used for a few months so good enough to use. Small summary of my setup: - GTB2260VK turbo - 2,5” exhaust. The stock exhaust will do till 250HP but to keep the exhaust gas temp a bit lower 2,5” is recommended - Tubular exhaust manifold (needed if you want to use a GTB serie on a 1.9, AFN TDI manifold is also a option and modificate that one. - Sachs SRE clutch with dual mass flywheel (needed above 420 Nm. So somewhere above 200hp) - big aluminium front mount intercooler, the stock ARL FMIC will accept approx 250HP, never tried that. - aluminium intercooler/turbo piping with silicone hoses. (I’m running 2.4 bar now, above 2 bar it’s quitte difficult to keep everything together - 4 bar map sensor (the stock 3 bar doesn’t read more than 2 bar absolute) - 6-speed box is recommended, the 5-speed box is only rated for 240 NM. Will last quitte long on 340 Nm is my experience but topspeed is shit (215 km/h in the RPM limiter, I can do 260km/h on 4600 RPM now) - And THE most important thing: a DECENT remap of your ECU. If you buy everything new, total costs ex. labour will be around 5000-6000 dollar/euro for the setup i’m running at this moment. I’m doing 250HP on stock ARL injectors. Its a bit questionble if you talk about reliability with stock injectors and that amount of horsepower. Duration’s are quitte high and so do the exhaust gas temperature. I’m doing 40-50k KM’s a year so it must be pretty reliable, i’m sure it will last for years with this setup as long as you drive it with a bit respect for the material. Engine warmup is important but even more important is to prevent long topspeed runs. I’m only hitting top speed for a few seconds and then I lift. I’m living close to Germany so I can floor it on the “Autobahn” if I want to but it’s to crowded over there to drive topspeed for a long time. To make it a bit more reliable I have a set Firad 80% injectors laying on my workbench. That will lower the exhaust gas temperature a lot and then I can use the full potential of the GTB2260VK turbo. (300HP)

Wow nice setup I will only put a stage 1 on my 1.8 so I can reach around 220 bhp (from the 180 stock AUQ/AWP). That gives it around 320nm of torque, I don't want an expensive build rn since by the time I get my hands on it I will just be starting college, I'm gonna think about advanced tuning in 1-2 years from now since I will have to daily drive it I need it as reliable as it can be. As about working on the car itself I have a garage and I will do most of the things myself although I am not much of a mechanic, I am gonna start diving deeper in the subject once I enter college. Now talking about Diesel engines the 1.9 is very good I have driven different varinats but here in Romania they might introduce higher Diesel taxes because emissions and stuff so I'mma stick to gasoline. I love its idle sound I even got my licence on a mk4 variant 1.9 ARL (yeah imagine how tempted I was to floor it in driving school :))) )

It’s 2,5 inch with one free-flow silencer at the end. Nice and silent when driving normal. And really loud on full throttle.
