What's Your Favorite Tip In The Vid? 3 Exclusive Vids Here To Improve Your Game bit.ly/PorzakFreeVids

Fav tip(s) from this lesson: 1) on shorter shots like this, presetting impact, getting the left hip a little out of the way, and simply rotating through reduces the timing and makes this simple shot so repeatable. 2) The ping pong analogy of spinning such a short shot resonated with me as well. You still have to be aggressive through the ball to impart spin otherwise you’ll just produce a high knuckle ball that rolls out too far. Please post a part 2 with the shot Ian eludes to 30 seconds into this video! My U/D% is so much higher with a short-sided style chip /pitch where I clearly see where I need to land it over the fringe and what loft and spin I need to stop it. The required shot is unique/obvious to me much like the shot highlighted in this video. I struggle with the longer chips/pitches that present an ocean of variables and possibilities. Maybe it’s a non-commitment issue? Please continue! Thank you! Your teaching style is so positive and encouraging. I really appreciate that!!

Once again, you make the difficult simple. I remind myself to apply pressure down when bringing the leading edge to the ball…

Playing in Houston all the time, the concept of hitting down on chips was hard for me to commit to, but has made a big difference in the tight, Bermuda lies.

if he ever gets the time to practice around the Pepperdine squad during the summer that would be one of the best things he could do for himself. I know a lot of those guys are traveling all up n down the west coast during the summers but in general...surround yourself around better players and it will elevate your game!

Yes, agreed, Ian is on the Pepperdine Team, so he will be practicing lots with them. Thanks as usual James!

@PorzakGolf, Adam at the 9:12 mark you say "Feel Like you're putting the back of that club into the ground". Are we actually feeling like the back edge/bottom of the bounce hits the ground first ?

This “dude” is excellent w his instruction. I’m a 5-6 handicap wrt every part of my game and more like a 20 handicap w my chipping 😑 Crazy that such a simple looking shot can be so complex. My biggest issue is the occasional dreaded skull. Hoping to finally fix my wretched chipping here and now!

Game changer for me, the knuckles down has helped me so much. Also, I bought the straight putt ruler which is awesome! Thank you!

Totally true I realized you can’t do this with your wrist cupped I love the tip of knuckles down and the wrist bowed. The awesome thing about Adam and the team (one of many) is that same swing though is transferable to the full swing

What does knuckles down mean?

My favorite tip is swinging like a v shape instead of a u shape I’ve been watching the vids and hitting some of the best chips of my life Swing the v shape (more up and down) and open the face if need be. Let the loft do it’s work and don’t help the ball The spin and control I’ve been having (when I do it right 😂) is amazing The last two rounds I’ve heard the comment that’s a pro chip and spin How do you do that Thanks Adam!

One thing I notice about the student's right arm on the takeaway is it's stiff like he's trying to maintain a triangle which gives him a bit of a chicken wing look at the end of his backswing vs you who keeps the right elbow soft and relatively tucked on this very short backswing.
