I just found you on KZbin and love your content. Do you have a video that show the bump forward and back so that we can see your hip? I have moved my hip forward but never back and want to make sure I don’t do it wrong. You are a great teacher and really enjoy watching your players.

Hi Adam, I read a few comments regarding great golf tips etc. This is not a golf tip, it's the foundations in the set up to make the golf easier and repeatable. Golf tips works for a round or two but golf feelings and set up allows me to focus on the job in hand. Thank you for producing great content. 👍

Just wanted to post and thank you for all the video content you put out. I have played golf since I was 7 (now 47) and worked myself to a 2 handicap. Living in north I watch a lot of you tube videos in the winter month and nothing has really made much impact until you. Played a few rounds after long Lay off and can’t believe how I am hitting it based on what you teach. Kudos to you

Adam, you certainly have one of the best personalities in teaching golf, and your ability to convey methods to that your students require. Wish I was living closer to you to come out and have a lesson and just hang with you! I live in Toronto, Canada. FYI love Torrey Pines, keep up the great videos. Ron

I can't wait to check out the 10 video Master Class that you are putting out for golf fitness and instruction. You are definitely correct when you say you can't teach personality. A personality that someone has that allows someone else, like me, to grasp the lesson that is being taught. I've gotten so much understanding out of your KZbin channel than years of instruction from a Mclean School. Not saying the school was bad. In fact the school is Awesome! I just get a better understanding through your way of presenting the lesson.

Wow major breakthrough for me here, i have never pushed of my right foot due to the fact i could never get the pressure into my right heel. i would always start my downswing by leaning toward the target as i had nothing to push off. Doing this drill was instant fix, i now feel if i keep the right knee inside of my foot and swing back i feel my foot screwing into the ground.(oh so thats what loading up feels like lol). When im at the top of the swing instead of feeling a lost floating feel waiting for my body to lean towards the target, i now feel completely loaded up like a sprinter in the blocks on a track and all i have to do is just turn AMAZING feeling..... what a difference and by the way WOW where did all this extra speed come from lol. Thank you guys yet another great great video.

So great to see a lesson with a golfer whose skills more match my own. I can tell that Brian fights an over the top feeling as there is a hint of a move his right arm still wants to make but he suppresses it. :) Am I right that Brian was an over-the-topper before you guys worked together? Realize that you can only fix so many things at once but can't tell what kinds of strikes and ball flight he was producing and if that tendency that seems to be there is affecting the result of the other stuff he's nailing.

Just tried the’Post and Brace set up’. Wow, hit 90% of my irons nicely and also consistent with my woods. It’s A must for easy good golf for seniors aiming for consistent golf. Thank you, and will now see how it goes on the course tomorrow. Also using drills for tilt, right side bend, that with a flared leading foot has provided a totally golf looking swing 😎

This is one of the absolute keys for older golfers because when done properly it really opens up their turn in the backswing! Thank you so much for sharing! This is exactly why we do what we do!!

Been watching your videos for a while. Thanks so much. Question: Trying to help my junior golfer (age 10). His setup looks pretty reasonable. However, when he gets near the top of the backswing, he tends to push his right arm/elbow "behind" his mid-line (think shirt seam) and then gets stuck to some degree. Shots either end up as push draws or over draws/hooks. Pause drill can help this? I've tried the towel under the armpits, but still see him pushing. Certainly, the short answer is he needs to just not do it, but can't seem to find a drill to correct it.
@PorzakGolf
@PorzakGolf 2 жыл бұрын
Pause drill can help, watch his hand path on the backswing, or make sure he keeps the arms connected and not long and loose at the top.

Great stuff! How does the reverse k set up translate on to the course with sloping lies? Say perhaps a downhill slope. Do you still set up in that position because I thought you should align your shoulders to the slope?

Question on the trail foot (brace), do you find a narrower stance helps and along with a straight foot vs. a flared back foot helps to help push off of?
@scottknouse9580

Love your stuff. One question I have is regarding your left foot at address. I have observed in all of your lessons you have very little to no foot flare with the left foot. It's something I have never heard you talk about. To flare or not to flare...that is the question.

Adam...watching instructions from Athletic Motion Golf, who use Gears...they say that Gears shows that golfers are sliding away from the ball (no more than 1 inch) in the backswing, before the backswing gets to the top, the top golfers are re-centering (sliding toward the ball) and continue to slide towards the ball (about 5-6" total) an THEN the rotation occurs. Their teaching seems to be supported by the info captured by Gears. You're teaching something different...is that a fair characterization? I'm interested in your thoughts on what I see as two approaches...Do you agree that the Gears data supports what they're teaching? Why is your approach different?

@porzak golf I’ve watched all your hip bump videos and in this one you mention it being a feeling of hips left and back, I hadn’t heard you say this before, is it just left or as you say in this video?
@PorzakGolf
@PorzakGolf Жыл бұрын
A big tendency is for people to bump forward but at the same time unknowingly open their hips to their target line, in that case we talk about pulling the trail pocket/hip back slightly to square the player up and preset and easier turn
@williamreichert4798
@williamreichert4798 Жыл бұрын
But if you look at Cam Smith. or Nellie Korda. each sets up as recommended. and each does NOT sway to the right on the backswing.Both move their hips left 3-4 inches on early the downswing

Actually , if you look at the student's last swing his right hip sways 2 inches to the right and on the downswing his hips bump 3 inches toward the target. But the idea might be good if the goal is really achieved.
