Was just sitting at the range looking up videos on how to rebuild my swing and came across this. Was contemplating quitting. Just wasn’t fun when your best swing doesn’t even get off the ground and your bad shots are shanks and fat shots. The keeping your hands below your shoulders tip is honestly the best golf advice I’ve ever received. Seriously, thank you. Best contact I’ve made in months

Hi JC, Brilliant thank you! Playing for 11 years! Highs and Lows, and this is excellent, on point instruction! Isn’t the definition of genius making difficult things simple?!! Genius, thank you! Best and cheers, Richard.

just came by before going for a game, swing had gone after long lay off due to uk weather, used the low left shoulder and things definately improved, thank you for your simple video.

This is me: too many swing thoughts in my head!! 🤯 working on getting good rotation on backswing. Still having a little bit of trouble starting downswing and rotational follow through. Will continue to watch and pick up more instructional tips.

Brilliant video - swinging below the shoulder line has transformed my ball striking. I had gradually crept into a too steep backswing. Thanks Jonathon.

Have only been playing 2 yrs and wildly inconsistent with my irons especially, this video is absolutely phenomenal and I wish I'd seen it before even taking up the game. Such a simple explanation and clear concise ideas to take on board, thank you so much for this, I'm usually good at following the 2nd two tips there but swinging around the shoulders is an absolute light bulb moment for me, never heard it put like that before and it makes so much sense it's unreal 😀 can't wait to get out at the weekend and give it a go now

after a recent club fitting the fitter was fond of how i take the club a touch too inside for his taste and gave me a lesson i never asked for and wouldnt back off when i was hitting fantastic shots on the sim with the apex pros and mizuno 223s. his heart was probably in a good place i thought so i tried his advice to shut him up and its absolutely ruined my abity to swing. as a body releaser it was a massive adjustment to use my hands. (typically if i come inside and release to 2 o clock lll have a draw but my miss is just getting stuck sometimes or coming inside with an open face and fading it too much) i avg 79-85 during my rounds but my last 2 rounds ive thrown my scorecard in the trash and have shot well into the 100's and nothing feels right over the ball. his hand release method has given me a problem ive never had and current dealing with over extension and my right hand being too dominant in the swing and pushing my clubhead through the ball destroying my stance and giving me weak fades. excited to get off work later and impolement this video.

Thanks for the video. Swinging around the shoulders is my fav go-to when I lose my game out on the course. Served me well over the years, also left shoulder to right knee is another fav one I like to use.

Tried this yesterday (sun).....on the backswing keeping arms below shoulders ...results were great was hitting it sweet...even my bunker shots were good with this method .....don't get me wrong never hit every golf ball as sweet as nut. But with more practice with this swing thought I am sure my ball striking will vastly improve...thanks for the video..👍👍

Good video and explanation. Tried to do it but pulling all my balls to the left. Very sweet butter like contact and ball goes distance but everything is going left. Don’t know what could be the issue, checked grip and ball position it’s all seems to be good 😀

I think his follow up video instruction to your request is the one that became the game changer for me. The one where you're holding the club head up from your right shoulder down towards the ground with the left hand gripping the shaft and pulling it through. This is the one where I requested that he do a more fuller and detailed explanation on how to best understand and practice this particular drill where it becomes part of your daily training routine. It's the one where this drill gets you to keep that right elbow out in front which is kinda of a new twist on the old school thought of tucking it which I think is where I went wrong years ago trying to incorporate that into my swing. The difference is subtle but none the less significant. I hope he does an update on how best to use that drill and explains in slow motion how to properly execute this drill and then how to transfer it to the range once you got thousands of reps in performing this shoulder, elbow in front drill. I also noticed how in this drill I can feel for the very first time the weight transfer to the left leg as the ground force creates the sensation that the left foot is cork screwing into the ground as the left leg "posts up" AUTOMATICALLY when you're now able to stay down and through the ball because you've successfully maintained the spine angle through the move. If he does this slow teaching of this drill then I think he will have identified the Rosetta Stone of the golf swing.
