This is total fact. Once I understood my shoulder relationship the game became sooooo much easier. Irons are even easier to hit with the closed shoulder. Tight draws. 7 iron went from 145 carry to 170 once I grooved the left shoulder.

I was hitting a nasty slice, doing exactly what you described off the tee with that very forward ball position. Have tried just about everything to straighten my ball flight with the driver, this did it. Was getting 230-250 on avg with driver, weak fade if I was lucky. Started closing my shoulders to the target and am seeing beautiful, straight ball flight, hit a few over 300yds today. Literal game changer.

Did this this week and golf will never be the same again. Saw a video and my shoulders were open to my target line. Now I preset them a little closer and viola.

Don't close your shoulders by themselves ever! You'll produce a duck hook if you swing properly. All this guy had to do was match his shoulders and his feet. Look at his set up, his feet are closed and his shoulders are open. Just match them together and you're good to go. Both open if you're hitting a fade, and both closed if you're hitting a draw. But never ever only close your shoulders

I have a very similar swing and my shoulders point to the left. Would you reccomend trying to close the shoulders or close the stance?
