You are a champion playa! Thank you so much, this open setup has been killing my game. Now I ought to fix it finally, after months of battle😎

OMG! Thank you Eric for pointing this out. I was taught this over 20 years ago and didn't understand why the instructor was telling me do this. He said do this, so I did it. Now I understand the reasoning behind it.

Great tip Eric..I definitely have drifted into the open shoulder position with the driver.Would you suggest setting the left hand first and then reaching UNDER with the right hand to ensure shoulders are square/slightly closed? Thanks 🙏
@CogornoGolf25 күн бұрын
You can definitely do that---yes. I like to have player drop right hand back on to right quad....and grip from under from there to help....as the right shoulder feels pulled back

Excellent. It’s all in the fundamentals, mine always seems to creep out of alignment over time and always need a reset

To align my shoulders I find a slight left hip bump forward (not up) aligns shoulders more square.

That can work just dont overdo Want most of this to come from side bend

Eric Thank you for this chance for a guy who has lost some yardage off the tee to regain some!!! Also, could we achieve similar improvement if we included this tip with our irons?

Thanks Mike....yes with irons as well

Great video Eric, but should the feet still be square to target at address, or trail foot back a bit to favour a draw shot? Cheers Andrew

Thanks, Andrew! Either can work!

Been trying this. Getting more high blocked shots. Think I might be early extending?
@CogornoGolf2 жыл бұрын
Could be....I could think of like 10 things that could cause that lol so I would need to see your swing really to say
@frankvuletin87002 жыл бұрын
Two questions Eric do you close your stance at all and can you use the precision impact for your driver swing as well
@CogornoGolf2 жыл бұрын
Hey Frank! 1. I do a touch....that is optional 2. Like it mainly for irons...bit more throw with driver

@@CogornoGolf guess that’s why I hit my irons well and struggle with driver. Feel like I have the tips as soon as I take the head cover off

Eric-how much inside to outside is too much? I'm measuring 4-6 degrees in to out with my driver...wondering if that is to much. I do fight a hook. Is there an optimal target you would recommend?
@CogornoGolf2 жыл бұрын
Hey John! I usually tell players 4 would be the edge....I do not mind getting 5-6 if you want a BIGGER curve.....but BIGGER curve usually means bigger misses (pushes especially) but can be done I have shot well under par with path 5-6 R but of course I would get over push and over hook 3 or less would be what I would call tight All of the above could shoot under par....

@@CogornoGolf thanks....much appreciated.

Are you just moving it back or are you also lowering it ?
@CogornoGolf2 жыл бұрын
Both👍 The pulling back of the trail shoulder acts to slightly close the shoulder line. The lowering of the trail shoulder creates the trail side bend needed at setup. Both the closing of the shoulder line and trail side bend pieces help the club head to swing more from inside to out so we can swing more UP on the ball to maximize distance.

Thank you for your great content. Since I got lessons I can’t hit the ball at all I’m totally lost thinking about too many things and can’t undo muscle memory of a “bad” swing while trying to transition to a good swing. Very frustrating

Our pleasure Stevie! When working on swing changes...make sure to start short and SLOW with video feedback👊
