Guys. I watch this video last night. And today went to the range n copy that feeling with a little tweak. My swing speed now maintain at over 100mph and my ball went high draw or straight. All i did was at setup my body close around 30-40 degree to the right, and at release i feel like releasing the club up in the air. Thank you guys

I think the takeaway here is get your golf swing in a good place BEFORE a fitting. Otherwise you are just using a club fitting to reinforce your bad swing habits.

Yup. Finally been getting my driver in the a lot before going in for a fitting. I had to reduce swing speed because my shaft was too heavy. I think I’m going to need a stiffer shaft sooner than later once I really dial my swing down.

I've always believed that the shaft is an important part of my driver and have been testing out and playing with different weight on my driver shaft at least 10 years ago. Now you guys helped me confirm the importance of shaft fitting or club fitting. By the way, what is more important between the driver head and the shaft when getting the driver fitting? Thanks so much for sharing this great clip!

Glad you liked this one. Great question. Fitters would say different things on this. It's also down to the preference of the golfer.

I understand the value of a club fitting. I had one at Golftec. The first swings give the best data. After 50+ swings you’re exhausted and the adjustments become inaccurate.

I have watched this video several times now and here is my takeaway: At 5:22 and 5:58 Josh “carried” the ball 261 and 256 at the range with his old driver and a few swing tweaks. At 8:26 he was baselined at Club Champion with a “carry” of 237? That is quite a difference from the previous range strikes with a “carry” of 260! Then after fitting to a new $500+ driver at Club Champion 11:12 to 12:00 Josh “carried” the ball 257 to 268 which is the same as his original driver at the range. Not sure why anyone would buy a new driver for $500 with no change in distance. Bottom line was his original driver and shaft was just fine. This is why people don’t trust golf club fitters!

I’ve watched this countless times. Even screen recorded so I can watch it in slow motion. I’m fighting the same issue. AOA is mostly neutral to negative. I’m trying to understand what you mean when you tell him to feel the back is toward the target. Is the swing being started with the arms?
@andrewfinlayson1507Ай бұрын
What they are saying is that if you try to keep your back facing the target when you start your transition to downswing, the arms are more likely to move DOWN, rather than OUT and DOWN. That shallows your club path and encourages you to hit from the inside, rather than over the top.

What is the fixation with hitting the golf ball 300 yards??? I hit it 240 and almost always beat down those guys who hit it 280+. Golf is a lot more than how far can you hit a golf ball but as long as there are those guys out there I will always win money.
@meandmygolf.Ай бұрын
The stats say that the closer you are to the hole, the better the score will be, If you can gain a few yards it can make a difference. You don't want to gain yards though and lose your super power if that is accuracy.
@rw_golf6387Ай бұрын
@@meandmygolf. That is only true if you are in the fairway, have a good wedge game, bunker play, and can putt like the pros. Amateurs would be much better off developing a golf game rather than chasing distance. Keep chasing distance and I will take your money with my 240 yard drive all day long🙂
@QegureziАй бұрын
@@rw_golf6387 You are missing the point. Excellent strides were made with his golf swing and he's hitting it a better height with better spin numbers and certainly more distance. If anything he's hitting it straighter too. It's a great lesson and his golf game has improved.
@rw_golf6387Ай бұрын
@@Qegurezi Agree it was a good lesson, but I would suggests people go after the low hanging fruit if they want to actually lower their handicap. Most people will never hit it close to 300 yards but almost everyone can get really good at putting, bunker play, and chipping.
@jlh4jcАй бұрын
Hitting it 300 yards isn't mutually exclusive to being good at putting, chipping, and sand shots. I agree that you should put it work on your short game if you want to lower your scores. But if you can a longer drive to your repertoire, nothing wrong with that.
