Your comment on the end where it's quite hard to see the break - it's one of the biggest challenges of night golf for me! Under the bright lights you can't see contours and everything looks flat! Interested to see how you do in Part 2 and 3 reading putts!

I wasn't aware they were closing it down. Played there at the end of last year. I had a number of firsts there; first time playing golf in Singapore, first time playing night golf, first time playing a par 6, and first time seeing giant otters IRL. Sad to see it go.

I've played a course with 2 par 6's Gen. Strangely the first one there is water in crossing the fairway. You have 705 yards and you can only hit a 3 wood off the tee. I hit 3 wood, 3 wood, 3 wood to greenside, chip and putt for a birdie. I made par on the second one plus I made birdie on both the par 5's. One of my best rounds in Thailand.

@@GenevieveLingGolf I'm going to play night golf at Laem Chabang, a Jack Nicklaus course. 27 holes but only 9 are lit so you go round it twice. I've never played at night before. Any tips? Plus what will you be doing in November? If you're free and have money to fly to Thailand.

@@thehairygolfer i played there at the beginning of this year!! It’s a cool course, I didn’t play it at night though. Hope you’ll enjoy it! It was pouring buckets when we were there so it wasn’t fun to golf in, so hoping you get some better weather than we did! Haha

@@GenevieveLingGolf I play it twice every trip. From the sensible tees I use I've had 75 a number of times. I have parred every 9 but not 2 of them together LOL But I have also 4 putted one green, got a downhill down grain putt and shot 20 feet past then couldn't get back close enough to the hole. ROTFLMAO!

Played there an out 6 weeks ago. It was so hot and humid but I enjoyed the round. They said it was closing which is disappointing. I was hoping the MBS would buy it and take over operations but alas, no. The last thing Singapore needs is luxury housing. Affordable housing, most certainly.

So interesting that you hit lob wedges when you are so close to the pin. Most pros would use a putter from there. What's that cliche? "A bad putt is better then a bad chip."

Unless the greens are really pure I’m more comfortable chipping cause I feel like grass in SEA grabs a lot so when you putt the friction tends to make it unpredictable
