The reason he punches hard is he puts so much effort into each shot. To conserve energy he relaxes between shots and doesn't move much.

colquest he actually moves alot, it's not easy constantly pressuring fighters, if fighters get tired trying to get away from him it's also tiring going after them. It helps he's trains his ass off and is in phenomenal shape. Shit in the Canelo fight he basically did that the entire 3 minutes of all 12 rounds, Canelo who's almost 10 years younger could keep up a constant pace for the whole fight, which is why he fought in small spurts and was backing up along the ropes the whole fight. What's even more impressive is golovkin has only had to go the full 12 twice in his career and he was able to do it. Most fighters who always win by KO have stamina problems the first time they have to go the distance because they're not used to it

Say what you want, but Brook weighed more than GGG and was just an inch shorter. He wasn't fighting Manny Pacquiao or Miguel Cotto. He was fighting essentially Junior Middleweight that happens to cut down barely to 147. Would Canelo have stopped him in 5 rounds and broken his face? I don't know.
