I remember my lola's used to cook this in a clay pot, tapos ung tubig na nilalagay, ung pinagkuluan ng sinaing na kanin... then aside sa regular meat chicken, dinadagdagan ng atay ng manok, puso at balunan... sarap... makapag-tinola nga... Thank u for sharing this Uncle Tuklaw. :)

Tinola is one of the comfort foods in the Phils. It’s really a complete food because it has protein, vitamins and minerals from the veggies. I noticed that Goma did not put any artificial flavorings on it just salt and that’s why I love it!

Wow Tinolang Manok, thank you for the effort! learned a lot from you not just from cooking but also in cleaning the chopping board with H2O2 and it made sense. Tinolang Manok is best with Native Chicken, but you have to cage and feed the chicken for 4-7 days before coooking para dili langsa ang manok. Memories from my childhood in the Barrio.

Thank you Boss Goma for cooking Tinola, one of my fave. What i do is use patis instead of salt. I prefer spicy version too so I add Siling Pansigang...I also saute the chicken longer for added color and flavor. Rice na lang kulang haha

I'm watching this because I found sayote at our local supermarket and the autumn weather makes me miss sabaw. I also managed to harvest sili leaves from the greenhouse outside our office before our warehouse manager got rid of everything for the winter. This video is getting me excited to cook tinola tonight! Alam kong bitin yung dahon ng sili kasi Scotch bonnet leaves so wala yung fruitiness ng labuyo leaves. At masmasarap din sana yung tinola with papaya pero sayote lang yung nahanap ko, but beggars can't be choosers! Thanks for the tips and the trip outside the kitchen! The ganso sounds and the native Filipino foliage make me feel a little homesick already even though I just visited the Philippines last month. Gonna subscribe so I can come back for the sights and sounds of my Inang Bayan from time to time.

Maybe he doesn't like the aroma of patis, because patis has a distinct smelly odor, sea salt or Himalayan salt is more nutritious than patis..

Yes Mr Gomez, i am watching your channel now here in San Diego, CA. Just got back from a Vietnamese store to buy vegetables for the chiclen tinola that i'm going to cook for my 91 years old mom. The weather here is now colder and this soup is just right for mom's dinner. Thanks for sharing your video with us, far away from motherland. We should have been there two years ago, but due to the pandemic and too much government restrictions to travel, we decided to stay put here until its safe to travel. God bless and stay safe and healthy. Salamat po.
