A Fisherman's Tour of Bear Head Lake State Park, MN

Bear Head Lake State Park is located in northern Minnesota, and is a great place to stay if you want to fish the bountiful lakes near Tower and Ely, MN. The campsites are nice and large to accommodate your boat and camper. They also offer camper cabins that can sleep 6 people. Bear Head lake is entirely within the state park and has a large parking lot at the landing that you can also use to park extra vehicles or boats.

Hi there! This is one of the best campground tour videos I've seen! I subbed your channel even though I'm not a fishing lady lol. The campground looked so quiet, may ask what dates you were there? Was your campsite private or could you see other campers, tents ect? Thanks Tess :)

Hi Tess. Thanks for the sub. This video was made in late May of 2021. This campground is heavily wooded, so you get a lot of privacy. You might be able to see your neighbor through the trees, but its not bad. As you can see, there are a lot of bears here, so Just make sure you don't leave anything laying around. We've camped here a few times, and usually end up running into a bear.

They really don't cause a problem unless you got something they want. I've learned to keep the campsite clean after a few close encounters.

If I could have got the camera out faster, he was standing in front of my bumper. That's the second time we've seen a bear right in front of the bear head park sign.
