Rob has been the single person in the group who has seemingly hasn't even attempted at understanding what was going on and just looks at everything at face value. I understand wanting a enjoy a show the way you want to but just screaming WILLPOWA and not at all trying to understand what is actually going on is a good way to miss 95% of what is going on. Which is what happened with Rob. The willpower thing is just an easy way for people to bring attention to to show that Rob is doing something stupid. I’ve never seen someone misunderstand a character so much like this. Killua has been Gon’s ride or die this entire time and for Gon to say that to him? Gon was fueled by his emotions and Killua was rational because, yes they came to fight but the end goal is for Kite to be healed. And Killua was right in predicting that Komugi was the unpredictable factor in this. If Gon left to fight with the chimera then she would die.

Rob just hates complicated characters. He acts like he knows everything and tries to predict everything. He predicts some of the easiest stuff and acts like he is on a higher pedestal. He is so stubborn that he actually doesn’t care what the others think when they disagree with him. If a character has more than two emotions throughout the series that isn’t happy and/or angry, he despises them. I love everyone else and they seem like cool, chill dudes, but rob is just annoying. I couldn’t enjoy watching their reaction of season five of breaking bad cause of rob.

I have watched y'all for a while now. And I've seen Rob act the way he does but I never let it bother me. But this episode is my breaking point. He is astoundingly clueless when it comes to HxH. This episode is one of the few that really shows why HunterxHunter is number 4 on MyAnimeList, the plot is so good!!! We've seen happy and regular passionate Gon all through the series and there has been some foreshadowing about how this kid is dangerous, or what will he do when he gets into a complex situation such as if an enemy shows compassion? And that is what is happening! Right now is literally the hardest he's ever been tested and his reaction is not just for hype, it's to show how much the situation is on him mentally! And for God sake, Killua was trying to prevent him from being rash! HE IS NOT IN ANY WAY EMOTIONALLY HINDERED. HE CARES ABOUT KITE. HE CARES SOOO MUCH ABOUT GON! HE LITERALLY WENT INTO HELL WITH GON WHEN HE WAS COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE THAT CAUSED HIM MENTAL BATTLES DUE TO HIS BRO"S THING SO SAYING HE DIDN'T CARE WAS GON GOING TOO FAR. There is literally no reason for Rob to say that Killua truly doesn't care because anyone with a brain can see that clearly, he does. I have some advice for Rob. If you can't understand that what makes HxH so good isn't just hype and being a cold hearted violent attacker but about the complex plot and realistic behaviors of our growing main characters, then please, do everyone and yourself a favor and stop watching. That's the whole theme of this arc. The King, born a monster, becomes "a human". Gon, born a human, becomes "a monster". Gon never killed an innocent person before. The only one he killed to this point was that Armadillo Ant. You know, the one who was talking about how he loves to crush people to death and eat them. Why does Rob always need to criticize every signle thing Killua does and says in a biased manner while constantly comparing him with Gon in an almost childish way, when it's not even the point. Every little word said in the dialogues has a deeper meaning and is very important to the build up of the events to come. HXH is not a regular shonen where the sole feelings the fights are supposed to give you is "getting hyped". Two of the guys seem to get what's actually happening but with every comment Rob throws it's very frustrating how he is sitting there not paying attention only waiting to shout "willpower" or put killua down as if he stole his weed. Wellz was almost there and Pat is usually okay but it seemed to go over his head this episode. the art and sound and direction is clearly trying to paint a picture of how Gon is losing it, and Killua (by previous request of GON HIMSELF) loves him so much that he's trying to prevent him from doing rash and cold things that he would regret for the rest of his life. this isn't a hype-train show, man. i'm worried that ur all so hyped for someone about to kill an innocent bystander in cold blood and someone who had already surrendered at the same time. none of you caught the hypocrisy in what Gon was saying either (you clearly didn't pay attention in previous episodes where Gon chewed out Chrollo for letting people die that weren't his friends). and if Gon killed Pitou now how would he get Kite back then?? make it make sense... and since when has succumbing to revenge ever been painted as a good guy/protag thing?? it's rly clear Gon's taking a turn for the worse here, please wake up my guys.. not sure i can stand to watch another reaction

Listen, I dont wanna be like everyone else here who is hating on Rob kinda harshly. I think we all know where he is coming from. He is just being shallow minded and to be honest there are a lot of small nuances in Killua's character that are hard to get the first watch if your just watching casually for the action. I enjoy those thought provoking moments, like the scene in this episode. Killua is my favorite character and Kurapika is a close second but I like everyone minus hisoka and illumi more than Gon. If you read statements from Togashi himself he says he wrote the characters intentionally that way. All people have a different moral high ground. Some people would kill an evil super villain even if it meant sacrifice a life of a small girl. Some people think that having control of your emotions even though you may be dying inside is proof that you can't possibly care as much as that person did. But remember after they abandoned kite Killua was so guilty and depressed. Gon lifted his spirits and Rob, you are contradicting yourself. If Killua is emotional you say he needs that willpower but if he is calm and acting like a rational human being you say he dont care. Idc if u dont like killua, everyone dont care. But ur criticism gotta be consistent man. And just because someone is angry doesn't mean they get to attempt to destroy someone's self esteem. If you think so I would feel bad for loved ones of yours. No matter how you feel at a certain point in time you are always responsible for your actions.

Isn’t Pitou a mass murderer murderer who will kill millions more people if left alive? At this point she cannot use nen to defend herself, so objectively to save the most human lives killing her now would result in less deaths because she is a monster who would be very difficult to stop if she isn’t killed now. Because of how animes work, I’m assuming it will work out anyways somehow, but better decision was to kill her while she was weakened.

He doesn´t care about other people and how many he would save if he kills her. The only thing he cares is his revenge. He only things about Kite and is willing to sacrifice another innocent human to get revenge for Kite. If you really think that Gon is thinking about other humans in that moment or the future of humanity then you misinterpreted the scene.

You act like it’s Gon’s fault that she’s going to die, but Gon isn’t even the person who caused her injury. So many people are going to die in an event like this and there is nothing that can be done about that. Gon had every right to kill Pitou right then and there because of the people she has killed. I think you’re right that Gon probably wasn’t thinking about the benefits of humanity though. My main point is that Gon was not in the wrong. Perhaps the reactors did not think of the benefits either, but when I saw the scene I thought (and still think) that objectively the best move was to kill Pitou right there. If you don’t, then you risk your very life.

@@sweetdreams9700 Gon is totally at fault for Komugis injury. Gon belongs to the group of hunters that planned the attack on the ants. It was the hunters fault that Komugi got injured. Since Gon was a part of the attack group he was also responsible. So yeah. Also Gon doesn´t have any right to kill an innocent person! There is absolutely no justification for that.

Intention plays a huge role is this and that is what you are not understanding. If Gon killed Pitou right there then he would be stopping her from being healed, and she will die. The fault can be pointed in many directions, but in reality it’s just unlucky that she was at the center of a battlefield. Killing an innocent person can be justified, you’re wrong. When the US bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki they killed many innocent people. It was justified because Japan finally surrendered and no more US soldiers lost their lives. In addition it helped bring WW2 as a whole to an end. Pitou will do anything to protect the king. If things didn’t happen to go as they did in the anime (things could’ve gone in many different ways if Gon wasn’t the main character) then Pitou would’ve killed much more than just one person.

It’s obvious that Gon’s main goal is to save kite but killua noticed early on with Gon that he’s too impulsive and emotionally driven. Killua’s main goal is to protect Gon because Gon is always willing to die for whatever and he needs Killua to be that voice telling him to live so he can fight another day. Gon is such a chaotic good and other characters, such as Bisky and the guy that taught them about Nen, have noticed and foreshadowed that it could lead to his downfall.

I wish I could mute Rob for the rest of the videos. He doesn't know anything about good anime, all he knows is DBZ lol I mean, the others sometimes should pay more attention, not just to the fights, but they at least appreciate good moments like Gon's breakdown.
