More than anything did I hope for before I watched his “ scissor” attack that it would be used for instant death. Like he’s all like “show me paper! Good question well yes and no because kurapicas chains only effective against Phantom troup member's and gon sicssors well.. I got nothing for that thing we only see it twice and one was not even canon so um.. Think so idk

Not at all. Kurapika's chains withstood Uvogin, who is much physically stronger than Gon. However, they are only designed for the troupe.
