Awesome battle. I would say that too many units in this mod have "excellent attack/defense", this is an issue with DAC too where they make every unit too elite, resulting in grind fests. Elite units should be terrifting for sure but when every unit holds like a spartan, then it really diminishes things

What I really like about this is that the attackers made a handful of “interesting” choices, and had a rocky start due to one of these choices, but still managed to turn things around.

To make the sally out sandwich: Take two slices of finest military hardtack, or if unavailable, looted boot leather. Between the slices place one patty of looted rations or man-flesh, depending on preference. Flanking them, grilled horsemeat. For a dressing, excess blood from the meat, bones, stone dust, beer and gravel can be ground into paste and mixed with any available local herbs and spices for a hardy and mineral fortifying jus.

I don't know it just irritates me that the attackers can make so many medium sized mistakes and still come out on top. Across your youtube career you've gotten a plethora of "attackers always win" comments but this video is just a clear embodiment of why people leave comments like that. There were really no mistakes made by the defenders other than leaving their pikes a lil exposed (and maybe not charging the crossbows) and the defenders micromanaged super well and won the smaller battles but just couldn't win and never seemed like they ever had the upper hand. Yes, the attackers did a good job of creating breach points and weakening defenses but I feel like the attackers won by a resounding margin for this to be a "close" battle which just annoys me every time. Still a video I watched entirely through like all your videos and still amazing sports-commentator-esque commentary so great job Apollo! Just wish the attackers had just a little less spending for their armies.
@isaaczatopek87022 жыл бұрын
Defenders needed to get more aggressive they could have counterattacked with fresh troops and flanked the attackers near the broken wall instead they turtled way too long.
@paradoxproductions42112 жыл бұрын
@@isaaczatopek8702 i dont knowww i see what you mean but apollo has had a lot of experience with this stuff and he didnt say what you said if it were obvious he probably would yk. Either way i see your rationale, there were a lottt of defending troops standin off against less attacking troops which is never a good idea
