The situation with that saying is that you’re taking a great risk into shortening your life span by willfully putting yourself in dangerous situations just to prove a point. A simple example: Kurt meets a cute girl, she shows him around, takes him to her house, gains his confidence and when the timing is right, he finds himself surrounded by thugs without his camera. I would never wish that upon anyone but I’ve said this since his early videos. For all the people out there that want to defy reality, PLEASE do NOT put yourself in his situation. I’m not saying never visit a place like Cali BUT if you do so, make sure you go with someone you KNOW. I fear for him, I really do because to me it feels like toys around with luck and thinks he’s untouchable.

I had debilitating social anxiety also and the best medicine is getting out there and greeting complete strangers with a warm smile and light in your eyes. Most will engage you in a friendly way and joke with you, etc... You'll soon notice that it's YOU that has brightened their day and made them smile, and that gives you so much confidence and so many feel goods it's infectious and you'll want to do it again over and over. 99.9% people watching you walking in a room confident are not judging you, they are envying your confidence. Hope this helps!

I went to CALI the first time I went to Colombia about 10 years ago. My friends and I spent 9 days there. Unfortunately, I was the only one who spoke Spanish. It was an unforgettable experience. @Muzzaa Жыл бұрын
Why was it unforgettable?
@TampaCEO Жыл бұрын
@@Muzzaa For me it was my first time outside of the USA. It was at that time completely foreign. There was nothing identifiable. The restaurants, the food, the buildings, the hotels, the customs, etc. Even the music was foreign. It was as if I had traveled to another planet completely. Also, I will admit that the women were different in every way. They had different priorities than American women. They also did not approach you or make the first move even if you made eye contact. If you approached them, they were always polite and conversive. The danced to Salsa music - not hip hop. They never got drunk or acted sloppy. They were classy in almost every way. And yes, most were very beautiful. They did not even know how to act snobbish or entitled. Unfortunately, I was the only member of my group who spoke Spanish so I spent most of my time translating between my friends and the women they were talking with. Finally, women fall into one of 2 categories. Either they are a prostitute, or they are very Catholic and looking for the love of their lives. There's not a lot of "I'm just dating around and see where it goes" like we do here in the states. Sorry for writing a whole book, but I didn't want to be vague with my answers.

I have been in Cali for 1 month with my local girlfriend and I have to say I have never been experiencing this very kind of hospitality anywhere else in the world. And not in a sarcastic way. The people of Cali are extremely kind and helpful with foreign people. Every time they noticed that I am from another country, they acted so kind. Of course Cali is a dangerous city but if you act like most of the local people, you don't expose yourself to the thieves and you follow the rules, this city is on of the best experience. The ambiance, the passion, the food and the beauty of the nature is something that you cannot find easy anywhere else. I left my hearth in Cali.

In the 90's as a young man I traveled to many similar places in Latin America and Asia, including some war zones. I found myself in some scary situations several times, but nothing that bad really happened to me. I agree with him, that people are mostly good. Most people I met in dangerous places were helpful and caring. However, some of it was just luck I believe. Being fearless, I didn't think twice about what could happen to me, but things did definitely happened to other Western travellers at the time. The odds are greater of being a victim in these areas, but its not as if you will assuredly be a victim. That part is just the media hype of crime in these places. Mind you, I always made efforts to blend in as much as possible.

The only time I ever had trouble is when a local poor dude gets jealous all the local girls will fuck you for a hope of a whim of a slice of your money.
