This is basically the core trilogy lineup, Steve not being very prominent on flying teapot. These five guys are the core of what gong ever was, each by themselves. Together, they make the most pleasing sound to my little brain.

@@graxjpg hmmm, for me the founders of gong are essential: daevid allen and gilli smyth, plus perhaps didier malherbe, who was also there very early - most songs were written by smyth and allen... which doesn´t change the fact, that the musicians you mention here are absolutely brilliant and important - but also don´t forget pip pyle who had a great influence on the earlier style of gong... saw moerlens gong live in the late 70s and it was impressive and cool, but for me not as nice as gong with allen and smyth with their typical cosmic wink... :-)
