Death was, and most likely always will be, the best death metal band of all time imo. There are tons of great death metal bands who have produced tons of great albums, but pound for pound, riff for riff, I just don’t think any other group has ever been as prolific as Death. ♾ RIP Chuck ♾

Honestly I think the Netherlands deserves more credit for it's death metal than Sweden. It went in quite a bit more directions than the Swedish scene and very clearly influenced a lot of subgenres and innovated more. I guess Sweden was just more well-known for it.
