Its crazy re-watching it how many chances each team had during the game to break it open but for whatever reason neither could consistently put together multiple scores in a row, even with sometimes wide-open looks. Zags especially missed a lot they normally made. And UCLA broke the mold on expectations when it came to mid-range jumpers. Riley was out there looking like C-Webb with his mid-range game. Excited for the rematch tonight. Will be interesting to see how gameplan changes especially for Zags not having Kispert, Suggs or Ayayi but now having Chet and Strawther getting minutes plus Bolton and Hickman/Sallis.

I live in spokane wa the home of gonzaga University. This was a very great awesome game gonzaga ever played in the final four. ZAGS beat ucla with a kiss. Saggs half court win. Then Baylor bears gonzaga bulldog. ZAGS lost by one point. Butler 44 gonzaga 43. I watched gonzaga from regular season all the way to the ncaa championship. What a season. Undefeated season until one lost to Baylor 44 ZAGS 43. This year is gonna be another Undefeated season. Final four Back to back to back. That's gonna be awesome. Go zags.

I do believe that UCLA took too much out of the Zags for Baylor. If ZAGS didn't get this tough of a game and/or Baylor got a tougher game from Houston, I think the National Championship is much closer.
@chung-chitien46503 жыл бұрын
Gonzaga use experience to play ball, But their habits were seen through by Baylor. Baylor lost Gonzaga in 2019. After that Gonzaga become No 1 till now. And Baylor’s player remains and become No 2 this year. Actually Baylor seems to know every move before Gonzaga players action. They are too familiar for their tricks. Every team met some difficulty in advancing Championship Tournament. Gonzaga never met any team threat before UCLA game. So if they could not recover from UCLA game and think unfair to them, the seeding is too comfort for them to advance compared with other early eliminated team like Illinois, Iowa...
@debrahudson63243 жыл бұрын
Winners don't make excuses, they make baskets. Gonzaga got manhandled and if they had played Houston they would have lost. They barely beat a #11 team. What in God's glory makes you even think they could beat Baylor? Even Gonzaga's coach knew it was farfetched. He's watched the reels and knew his team could not out finesse or play these guys one on one. They played 45 minutes that night. So what? Baylor played 40 against a much higher seed than 11th. Gonzaga could have rested a week and the results would have been the same. Baylor is bigger, faster, stronger and got more dog in them. My 92 yr old dad could've out rebounded them. Outclassed and outmanned. Not in the same league as Baylor. If they didn't know it then, they do now. Timme can skip his stache back to the Gonzaga home court. Suggs should have been watching Baylor games instead of watching himself hit a lucky shot. All 4 of Baylor's guards could outplay him. He wouldn't even start or be the 6th man on the bench. He is not NBA ready. Can't rebound nor has the handles to go against NBA pros. He should stay in school and transfer to a school where he can develop better skills. He's just average.

I disagree. What did Gonzaga in was being undefeated. The pressure of an undefeated season is too great, and we've seen that by every undefeated team coming into the tournament taking a loss in recent years. I think if Gonzaga drops a random game to BYU or something in the regular season they play Baylor much closer.
