There is almost no kind of feedback that cannot be delivered constructively. If somebody is shouting angrily at people, it's probably best to tell them to stop. But almost any other feedback can be delivered in a constructive, helpful tone.
You can say "If we do this instead, we can succeed together." or "When you did it this way, we all really liked it." or "What other options did you try" or "I'd like you to spend a little time with these specific examples that I think illustrate what we're looking for." or "Thanks for sharing this option with me. I'd like to see some different alternatives. Could you give me some different choices?"
I can keep this up all day! So can any manager, once they've spent some time considering this simple fact: Negative feedback does not work!
