[Good Gungeon run] #3 - Glitch chest

I decided to make these normal runs into a sort of series because otherwise every video like this would just be titled a variation of "Great run" which is pretty boring. So instead I'll use a series tag "[Good Gungeon run]" and also add a secondary title that just describes something interesting that happens in the run.
Anyway, this run is also a bit different in that I tried to go fast from the fourth floor onwards because I wanted to get a good time for once (compared to my usual runs). That's why I didn't full clear the last floors.

As a small aside for future Glitch Chest encounters (As rare as they are), you can drop a weapon and then pick it back up so that way, after beating the Beholsters, passives and actives have a much greater chance of dropping after the fight. Also, I would like to say thanks for providing a video on beating the Rat. Thanks to your help, I've been able to master the Punch-Out phase and get five keys most of the time. I also gave myself the self-imposed challenge of beating the Rat with each Gungeoneer and beating the Lich within the same run. After having done so, I wish the Rat would drop a Clone more often, since I really love the synergy that you get for beating him and wish I had more rooms to use it on. Maybe I'll get lucky in future Rat encounters...

Joshua Rosario if you want more challenge, try getting all 6 keys from rat, I believe you have to flawless each round and finish each round with a super (pretty sure lvl 3 but don’t quote me on that)

I appreciate the tip but unfortunately that doesn't work. Dropping a gun you already have and picking it back up doesn't prevent the gun force from the boss. The only way to get passives and actives from the glitch fight would be if you got a new gun before the fight (for example with lament configurum, chest teleporter, weird egg or the ring of the resourceful rat)

yoshifan2334 Yup, I've been trying to aim for a six key win. However, I always seem to get the worst moves from the Rat that are the most difficult in trying to stop, such as when he slingshots himself or when he does his spin attack. I always manage to win, but getting the final Level 3 Super on him during the final round is a pain. You don't need to flawlessly beat a round without losing health, but you do need to get a Level 3 Super on the Rat each round.

depending on how much time you have left in a given situation, it may be a good idea to just not challenge the slingshot attack and just dodge, the timing to dodge isn't to hard if you're good enough to have made it to round 3. What really sucks is when he spams the ammo box throw

I've had a glitc chest once on the first floor. I did it anyway because i know they're rare. Now i was underprepared as shit and needless to say, i died, but it was cool watching someone this skilled fight them. Some of the tight weaves you did i had no clue could be done at all. Kudos to you.

May not be your style, but there's a strategy/exploit with the fightsabre, I believe its you begin the reload, then basically mash swap and reload buttons and you will maintain it's reflective state until you stop mashing.

Wait hold up, at around 6:00 you shoot the secret room wall three times, the first hits a box, but the other two shots don’t crack the wall, and it only cracks on the second pass, why is this? I thought a single non infinite ammo bullet cracked the wall

It depends on the damage of the gun. The cracks only appear fully once you've dealt a certain amount of damage to the wall

A few days a go i completed a glitch chest and checked if there was a pedestal mimic. 7 of the chests came to lifeand killed me. Is that a bug or just unlucky? I don't think that this should be possible.there should only be one mimic per room...

Any chest that spawns has a 0.1% chance to be a glitch chest, so on average one out of 1000 chests will be glitched. I've seen a total of 3 in about 400 hours of ingame time.
