Man, Sockbaby was like, the last really great thing Doug TenNapel worked on and it was perfect for early KZbin. I still fucking quote that with my sister, mostly by just us saying "hello" and offering to "food up." And then there's lines like "I kill Sockbaby to break the heart of God," which is both absurdly hilarious and yet so fucking brutal at the same time, it's like a @dril tweet. Shame Doug hasn't really made anything worth caring about since then. I love Sockbaby and I will defend it.

@DarkAnon1002 жыл бұрын
i mean, lookwise, it's actually look like a modern Intellivision and of itself, the Amico could have potential......if it was not made by at best incompetant people and at worst scammers. Seriously, it is sold at now 300$ with only ONE controller (because yes, in the new update, the console will only come with one controller even tho the console has two spots for it and was supposed to come with two for 250) for that price i can have a New Switch.

I remember reading about this console and seeing new EWJ prototype footage and thinking: "Man, this is going to be good". And that was last year. But if that's the only huge game you're gonna have I'm afraid your userbase will be as small as a gas station convenience store in the middle of nowhere.

Just started the vid, but I would kill for a re-release of "Intellivision Lives!" for the Switch. The PS2 version was so small it was released on CD, yes a PS2 CD, not DVD. Edit: Claw, look at the original Intellivision controller, and the Amico controller will make sense. The originals sucked, but the games were often unplayable when ported to newer consoles due to not matching. Also they had a number pad you would put paper overlays on to show what each button does. Hence the touch screen component to use as a substitute. Looks retarded, but if it looks stupid and it works, then its not stupid.

I absolutely adore the general concept for this console. They focus on the two big missing things. IRL integration with the RFID tags and in person multiplayer. It's the most explicit attempt to recreate what made games so much fun in the 90s. The screens on the controllers are just what we would have all wanted, were it possible for a sane price.

Tommy should have stuck to Video Games Live. That's a cushy life, I'd say-- he got to tour the world and jam out with the likes of Akira Yamoaka (Silent Hill) and Jack Wall (Myst). He had the admiration of the gaming industry, built upon decades of goodwill. Those days are the best he'll ever have, with the best company he ever had, but after _this?_ Dude is radioactive. The Butch Hartman comparisons are apt as the story is the same; a machismo-type with a fat ego pretends to be more than the sum of his parts, enters a position of leadership, and is crushed under the weight of his warped expectations. I feel the most for the former Neverhood/DreamWorks Interactive fellas who were roped into this scheme, and for the fans and investors who leapt to back Amico and likely aren't getting any of that money back.
