You can still play Intellivision carts after 40+ years. I feel Tommy had duped his customers. He promised physical "media" and instead we get RFID cards with a code? It feels like he flat-out lied to the public. SMH. After the specs leaked, critics were calling the Amico a "phone" you hook up to your TV, and with the games just being downloads, they don't do anything to shake that stigma. @@ezg2000 Not JR but I'll answer. You can keep them, as long as the console is working, just like with any post-XBOX console's digital games. The thing is, the servers for consoles with huge user bases and big companies to back them up can stay for at least 2 decades, you can still get a new console and redownload all your games by logging in (except with the Wii and DSi). You'll be lucky if this lasts a year and a half, once the servers are gone, no more NFT. It will have the fate of the Zeebo.

Wow. You get to review boxes with no means to play them. Sarcasm aside, I would love to hear your take on the Amico situation; you're one of the few to actually play the console. Does it have a spot in modern gaming? Is it in any way worth the price tag that's going to be put on it? Who IS the audience for the Amico? It's hard to KZbin research the Amico because the only people who talk about it are in Tommy's pocket. Could you give an impartial discussion on it?

I find the positive in everything. I preordered one for myself much like I preordered a PlayDate and bought other systems day-1 like Wii U, PSP Go, Oculus Quest and a lot more. I like what I played of it, playing with friends. It's not for everyone, that's for sure. Not for the hardcore gamer.

I just realized something. Any bets that these "physical games" that are being sold separately before the system comes out are also the 10 free "pack in" games? You know, like you'll get them for free when the system comes out, if it ever does, so buying them now is just a total rip off.

The Evel Knivel game is available to play on your phone. Considering the Amico is based on a phone set up from over 4 years ago, this should not be surprising.
