This reformulation is amazing, they turned a so-so product into an absolute winner- and a super affordable product as well. I can't wait to see what else Good Molecules has coming out next. I saw a new cleanser, so I'll have to pick that one up, too!

About two weeks ago, I placed my first Good Molecules order and threw this in my cart on a whim to reach free shipping (I am a big fan of the Pixi Overnight Glow Serum and was looking to upgrade). Imagine my disappointment when older reviews were not quite complimentary. Now I know that this is a new formulation I am super excited to try it. I rarely comment, but thanks so much for your reviews - all the work and research you put in really comes through.

The original version of this serum was... disappointing... but this NEW version is AMAZING! I think you'll love it! I'm so happy they reformulated it because it wasn't in line with how great their other products were. I'm sure you will love it, this is a wonderful exfoliating serum. And for the price, you can't beat it!

I adore Good Molecules!! I cannot go a day without using my Niacinamide serum or the Niacinimide toner. I don’t use the pineapple scrub as often as I used to be I went a little overboard with retinols & vitamin c and exfoliants so I needed a break. This is good to see they changed the formula for the better. 💜 Also just a quick question, I am apart of your Patreon but I never see my name at the end of the credits so I know I pay every month and wasn’t sure if you knew I was?

Should a moisturizer be used after? What kind would u suggest
@NOBSBeauty3 жыл бұрын
I think a moisturizer after this would be a great addition, especially if you have dry, sensitive or dehydrated skin. The Good Molecules Silicone Free Priming Moisturizer is great for day or night use. I also love the Acure Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Cream which is great for dry skin. The Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Moisturizer is great for normal- oily skin and for those who want some additional Brightening ingredients. The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors is a good option for acne prone and oily skin types. You can't go wrong with any of those.

I am currently using the Drunk Elephant TLC Framboose and was looking for a less expensive alternative. The ingredients look somewhat similar to my untrained eye and i hope that my skin will tolerate this one too . Until now the only aha/bha treatments that worked without burning my face was the TLC.

Does it go with the good molecules discoloration serum?

Hi! Can i use this with the niacinamide toner also from good molecules? Is has vitamin c….
@NOBSBeauty3 жыл бұрын
I think different people would probably have different opinions on this- just an FYI. I think it probably depends on how sensitive your skin is. Some "rules" say not to mix niacinamide with exfoliants because of the different pH levels. If possible I'd probably recommend using the Niacinamide Toner in your morning routine and using the Exfoliating Treatment in the evening. If that is not possible I'd probably use the toner and exfoliating treatment in alternating evening routines to see how your skin handles them.

Glycolic Acid - 8.05%, Lactic Acid - 1.04%, Salicylic Acid - 0.10%. The salicylic acid percentage is very low. Effectiveness?
@NOBSBeauty3 жыл бұрын
I found it works well for me (mostly with hyperpigmentation and skin firming), although if you have issues with clogged pores or breakouts I'd probably go with something that has a higher salicylic acid amount. The new Purito AHA BHA Solution is a multi acid exfoliant but has a higher amount of SA in it, might be better for breakout prone skin.

Does this product help with blackheads?
@charb97193 жыл бұрын
Hi Angela, it’s hard to say because they don’t disclose the percentage of Salicylic Acid. If you’re looking to treat blackheads in a serum vehicle like this one you may like the Inkey List Beta Hydroxy Acid Serum. Another great choice would be the Ordinary AHA 30% plus 2% BHA peeling solution which is a 10 minute face mask. This is great for blackheads as it contains 2% bha/salicylic acid but you also get a 30% blend of glycolic, lactic, tartaric and citric acid. Hope this helps x - Charlotte.

what % of glycolic acid is it ?

Can you use it in the evenings you you a retinol
@NOBSBeauty4 жыл бұрын
I would alternate using it with retinol until your skin is fully adjusted to it. Traditionally you really should try not to use exfoliants in the same routine as retinols, however, I've been able to do it for the past year without any issues. I think choosing a gentle retinol helps. It took me a few years to work up to it and I think as long as you give both ingredients time to absorb and layer with hydrating serum in between you might be okay. If your skin is super sensitive it might not work well, biggest thing is listen to your skin.

Thank you so much for this! Just ordered mine and I'm so excited. I'm curious as to what I can use after I use it at night. Am I allowed to use my Timeless vitamin c serum or am I advised to wait till the next day to use it?
@NOBSBeauty4 жыл бұрын
I hope you will love it, you'll have to keep me posted! I think you will have the best results if you use the Timeless in the morning. If you don't have sensitive skin you could always try to use them in the same routine, but it is best to wait and use it in alternating routines (mostly because of the ph of each product). The nice thing is that Vitamin C has a time delay (reservoir) effect, vitamin c is absorbed by the skin and it can last (and still be beneficial) in the layers of the skin for hours after you remove it. This post describes it well, it is fascinating to me: kindofstephen.com/skin-penetration-of-ascorbic-acid-part-ii/

I really like the naturium 2% bha exfoliant, I encourage you to try it! I love that unlike the 2% BHA liquid from Paula's choice, this one does not irritate my skin, also doesn't have that same oily feel or look
@NOBSBeauty4 жыл бұрын
I wonder what ingredient in the PC BHA liquid irritates you- do you think it's an ingredient. or the pH maybe?
@freedomlife59684 жыл бұрын
@@NOBSBeauty I honestly don't know, I have very oily thick skin so my skin can take a lot but ironically, it is also easily sensitized by many commonly used ingredients. I used to think that it might be the Methylpropanediol because it's the second ingredient, it's also a penetration enhancer but naturium uses Propanediol which is basically another name for the same ingredient, so it's not that, maybe because it is a higher concentration in the Paula's choice product? I don't think it's the pH, maybe i'ts the percentage, i honeslty don't know but that PC product has a very short ingredient list, the only other candidates are polysorbate 20 and tetrasodium EDTA, again it could be due to the higher percentage of Propanediol in the paula's choice one... in the naturium product butylene glycol is the second ingredient and Propanediol is the third, whereas in the paula's choice, Propanediol is the second ingredient and butylene glycol is the third
