Every now and then I think of moving to Carson City near Reno. I like the Reno/Lake Tahoe area. As a suggestion, some time if you have a layover in Reno, I'd really recommend driving up to Lake Tahoe. It is so beautiful!

The Boeing plane in question was delivered to Delta in 1990. The fault in this case should lie with Delta's maintenance routine.

Even if things happen, you guys are trained so well on how to handle things. The things that happen are concerning, but there’s hardly any serious injury or worse. I think almost all have landed safely with no injuries. The last death I recall hearing about is the Southwest flight that had the engine cowling come off that took out the window.

Hello Steven, I was surprised when listening to your story of the peanut butter sandwich as I had thought most companies etc have banned peanut products because of severe allergic reactions.

Nope. I don't think we can ban food items. But the passenger who is allergic should include that information in their reservation to give us the heads up so that I can control the area and make it as safe as possible.

I haven't flown since b4 the pandemic. I'm an infrequent flyer. I'm flying for work end of May for work to Toronto (which should be wonderful I've never been) but every time I see a news story I get nervous. If you can say a few more reassuring things in May LOL.

Every time I meet somebody who is afraid to fly, I tell them if they ever had anything to worry about, I certainly wouldn't have chosen this job. LOL! Even with all the news, flying is still the safest thing out there. Driving to work is HEAPS more dangerous than flying.
