Yes, the character was introduced in 1977's THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, and proved to be so popular that the producers made sure to include Jaws in the following movie, 1979's MOONRAKER!

roger moore= carry on bond, they were entertaining in their own way, I think Roger was on his second face lift , by his own admission, for this one.

Robert Brown was the most forgettable M. It also has to do with the fact that M was originally concieved as a father (later mother) figure for Bond, yet Brown and Moore were almost the same age. Brown worked somewhat better with Dalton for this reason, but otherwise, it was a great decision to replace him with Judi Dench.

Moore was ready for the nursing home. He kept crapping his pants during filming, so Broccoli replaced him with Dalton.
