Why are people sitting when the national anthem is played and the flags are hoisted??
@metamod.18806 жыл бұрын
Because Mongolia is also a free country, unlike their neighbors.
@dliu48276 жыл бұрын
Phinearion Sherflynn Actually, its because of cultural/political factors. Keep in mind that Mongolia still is the country that requires their national anthem played daily on all media channels at the end of broadcast (as part of their national anthem clause). The fact that this ceremony happens so often (sometimes daily) might contribute to there being less strict rules regarding physical position. You technically could probably get away with sitting for the national anthem in some other countries... if only you had somewhere to sit. No one could sit in China for the anthem when the flag is raised in Tian An Men Square if they wanted to because there would be nowhere to sit asides from the ground, which would be unhygienic and a little embarrassing. The fact people are sitting in this video might have to do with the fact there actually is a place to sit.

@@58tarik58 nope, It's monument of Damdin Sükhbaatar . He was a founding member of the Mongolian People's Party and leader of the Mongolian partisan army that took Khüree during the Revolution of 1921. He's life period is 1894-1923 RIP. Also Chengiz is not right spelling its Chingis.

@@osmanlisuleyman9909 well, Biggest B is correct. The square was formerly called Sukhbaatar's Square but now is changed to Chingis Square. Great Khans statue is overseeing the square from the center of Parliament house.
