Good News, Bad News.

Well, the search is finally over! I ended up scoring a 1989 Ford Econoline e250 in the Louisville, KY Craigslist ads. I drove about 3.5 hours 1 way to see the van and knew it was the one when I saw it. I was told it was garage kept for its first 25 years by the original owner and it shows! No rust! I cant wait to build this van into a sweet camping rig for future travels. Thanks for all the support! I appreciate every one of you!

Sorry about your friend,35 too young for sure. I’ve lost my spouse recently 56 still young but she was worn out lotsa health problems. Van looks real promising should have plenty o power. Thanks for the update.

At such a young age you always think what if... My '89 (same van as yours) had 85k miles, but it is a class b, therefore more likely to true mileage. I love it...but may need a new starter soon...the life of cars and the sort. Nice van, well done! ✌🐧

Yes, part of why I built the first van was thinking what if... what if I never get a chance to see the things I want to. I'd say a class B might be more believable with mileage. This van was supposedly owned by a car club and garage kept, but there's no records to prove it. It is in great shape though.

Very sorry to hear about your friends passing! May he be at peace... As for the mileage on the van, if the numbers are in a straight line, not staggered, thats the "true" mileage. If not, add at least a hundred thousand to it. 351 engines are just starting to break in at around 100,000, so it does have a lot of life left either way! Good luck with it!!!
