I joinned SDA in 2019 august ..was already married to my husband whho is catholic ..though he has not joined me and the children ,he is humble and stopped going to catholic church a loong time ago ..have been married to h8m for 24yrs..i pray for him everyday GOD will direct his steps in due time..

We are never alone or lonely when we have Christ with us. The most important thing is to fear the Lord, both in marriage and being single. I have seen many people got married for marriage itself and it turns out to be a curse. We should pray like this: Lord, if You are willing, and if it seems good to You, gift me a family, however, if it is not Your will for me to get married, keep me single. Jesus is coming soon. We have to be careful not to be preoccupied. Having a family or being single can both be a curse if that life cannot help us to be Christ focused. I am sorry to say, getting married to a wrong person or for the wrong reason are more likely to cost people their eternal lives than being single in this short lifetime. Choose wisely, and pray that we can be Christ centered in our marriage. Pray that we fear/love the Lord more than fearing/loving our husbands/ wives/families, and they will also love and fear the Lord more than fearing/loving us. Rest assured we are safest when we all are Christ centered. Only He can fulfill all our needs.

Afteri finding out how many Catholic actors are in the adventist church, i now know why I'm still single and why i don't get along with them when socialising. The enemies of Christ are deep in the church, but leave them there until the harvest. Pray for a true believing spouse. Watch and pray.

Just because a person claims to be an SDA does not necessarily mean that you should marry them. My Mum was married for 59 years to my Father who abused her for the whole 59 years. The church even made him an elder. The Pastor told my Mum that her suffering did not even come close to what Jesus had to suffer so she had to stay with him as divorce was a sin. My husband was not an SDA but I only learnt what a husband was supposed to be like when I married him. His character was definitely fit for heaven. God knows people's hearts and character and I'm sure there won't be only SDA husbands/wives in heaven.

That’s what I was thinking! Has to be a good one. I am an Adventist and I did marry a catholic it lasted 13 years. I dated an Adventist in Florida after 12 years separated. for about two months and I was very shocked! Still is actually. I guess my expectations was/is too high for Adventist men.

I never was able to meet anyone nice. There are alot of abusers in the adventist church as well. Now I am noticing they also prefer women outside the church. The dating scene in the adventist faith is very dismal.

The SDA church has a lot of advice for single women (keep waiting🙄) but has no plan or idea how to get single, quality men involved and active in the church. Church definitely needs to shift its focus, but that would involve a lot of actual effort and not just empty talk.

I have natural wants and desires like all the other human beings in this world and as much as I would like to be coupled with a (desirable) believing wife, I cannot find one nor has God introduced me to anybody. So is it okay to have a concubine like Solomon did? I don't see any alternatives and I've become weary of waiting albeit there are many pros to being single; but two is better than one because if one falls there is another to help him up!

Ive always considered creating a single sector for adventists without the idea of selling yourself. I think if it was made with simply a pic, location, and email address it would be beneficial if somehow you had something verifiable that proved you were an adventist. But there are a lot of single men out here. We just have the same plight as women. "Nominals"

@@LumbaKadansa in my opinion, a lot of them are outside of the assembly, but want a partner of their faith. The opposite sex thing and loneliness can draw people out of the church. Which means they are not necessarily as close to God as they should be. The initiating aspects of meeting women shouldnt be merged with worship but sort of have to be. Meaning its more difficult for a single man to exist in the church without someone than it is for a woman. Thus the "nominal ones" leave.
