I love waking up and sleeping to this song, I love walking and running to this song, I love laying under the shades under a warm summer day listening to this song, I love being a couch-potato and listening to this song. This song cheers me up when I'm sad and it lifts my spirit up even more when I am happy. I love listening to this song anywhere anytime :)

This had a brief stint on Subway Radio back in 2012. I was working there and this came on our radio station and I was thrilled because I was already a big Good Old War fan.

LOVE these guys & their music. Going to see them April 18th at the Beachland ballroom! I've already seen them twice at the Grog Shop in Cleveland. Their live music sounds amazing. My boyfriend and I discovered them in 2009, & have listened to them ever since!

I don't know about you but instead of judging music, I just shut the hell up and enjoy it as much as I can. I am a huge indie music lover and I enjoy listening to world music too... why are you even on Good Old Wars videos if you don't like them? Go take your "hipster" attitude elsewhere, please.

Yes I can read, write and have that (utterly flashy and useless) perfect pitch. But I explored music since I was a kid. I used to ride my bike to record stores and stack up albums and listen like crazy until I found music that moved me. Drove the store owners insane. I think these guys are talented and have lovely chemistry. But I get upset when people who listen to different or peculiar music get their jukebox selection skipped, or are dismissed as odd for having something curiosity.

My iTunes would show you that I listen to everything from this to Marvin Gaye to Celtic Rock. I don't give a damn what race the person singing or playing the music is, as long as I like it in any way I'm happy. I don't like mainstream radio music because the songs all sound the same now in my opinion. I don't understand why music is being profiled by race instead of whether or not it's good or bad. I found so many great bands on accident that I am now obsessed with. It just happens naturally...

And let me just say, you are very obviously not musically inclined/knowledgeable. Can you even read music? Or play an instrument? What do you listen to that is SOOOO original? And why does originality have to come before musical integrity? This is a group of very talented musicians, and for that, they deserve the recognition and acclaim they've received, regardless of the genre they happen to fall into.

For someone who is suggesting we be more open-minded, you're making awfully ignorant comments. You assume I listen to this band because I'm told to, or I saw them on MTV, or it fits my "indie" taste. But I got into Good Old War when they formed in 2008 from a band called Days Away (a band that fits in a completely different genre than this one), and I fell in love with them in '05 when they toured with TSL. My point is, get your head out of your ass and stop being so judgmental.

Here goes. I swear that you guys listen to indie just to belong to a social set and validate yourselves. This sounds like soooo much other music that's been playing for soooo many years in the indie vein. It's old the way "The Office" is old. Get some original taste already. Try listening to music by a black person. Hell, a different country. Go out on a limb instead of letting this indie genre trick you into being unique as a group of many thousands. Explore!
@jebsievers12 жыл бұрын
But let's take your youtube page for example. It's like, exclusively white people singing. Are you really "shutting the hell up and listening"----to the world around you? I think the sign of good musical taste is a rainbow. And not country specific. It shows you've searched for music instead of it arriving at your doorstep once it achieves moderate-to-heavy popularity. Look, I know this is a perspective and I could be wrong. But I am just so tired of uniform music preferences in this giant world
